How to save costs in the decoration of second-hand houses? I did it from two aspects: recycling existing items and streamlining the decoration process. The following is my personal experience sharing:

1. Recycling existing items The renovation of second-hand houses does not mean abandoning all the items at home. In order to save costs, many things can be recycled, such as cleaning and renovation, or sold at a discount.

(1) sorting out existing household appliances Before the renovation of second-hand houses, the first step is to sort out existing household appliances. Try what can still be used and what can be used through transformation, and make sure that the unused ones can be sold second-hand or given to relatives and friends.

(2) Good quality can be reused. Many previous solid wood cabinets, beds, dining tables, chairs and other furniture are of good quality. It is recommended not to throw it away directly, but to paint it again after polishing. Not only the cost is low, but also the quality is good. It will look much better with some soft clothes such as tablecloths, sofa cover and bedspreads. The picture shows the sofa transformed and utilized by adding sponge, sofa cover and accessories.

(3) Good quality furniture and household appliances can be sold second-hand. For some good quality furniture and household appliances, you can stick them on the second-hand platform, such as idle fish, and turn around. Usually a large piece of furniture, such as cabinets and beds, can still be sold for hundreds of dollars. (4) Poor quality can be recycled. For waste furniture and household appliances with poor quality, waste recycling can be adopted. Remember to ask a few recycling prices, don't be cheated. 2. Streamline the decoration process (1) with as little dismantling as possible. Most old houses are brick-concrete load-bearing structures. A little demolition and modification may involve major projects such as beam modification, wall smashing and slag removal, and the cost of demolition and modification is relatively high. Therefore, if you want to save money, try not to tear down the wall and renovate it. The workload is too heavy and the cost is too high.

(2) Repairing the wall Most of the walls of old houses will be yellow or cracked, or there will be graffiti by children. We can simply repair the wall, polish it and brush latex paint 1-2 times. Note: If there are serious cracks and water seepage in the old house, please ask professionals to check and give suggestions before replacing the wall.

(3) ground reconstruction If the ground is a wooden floor, it is very simple to disassemble and reassemble. If it is a tile, don't choose to dismantle it, because it is very troublesome to dismantle the tile, and the labor cost and garbage disposal cost are very high. You can choose to keep the tiles and polish them again, or spread SPC floor on the tiles, which will save money and be effective.

(5) It is not necessary to completely change the local hydropower, but it can be changed locally. High-power appliances and air conditioners can be pulled separately. As long as the wire is not aluminum wire, it can be retained to the greatest extent. When you see the aluminum wire, you can replace it directly. Don't joke about your life safety. When we decorate our new house, we choose the water and electricity bureau, which can save 3000-5000 yuan compared with the total renovation.

(6) Paint the interior doors. There is no problem with the border of the general door. Maybe the color or style is out of date. Don't change the door directly. It will look much more pleasing to the eye after repainting or pasting.

(7) Replace the wardrobe door panel or purchase finished products. If the original wardrobe is damaged, replace the damaged part, such as replacing the door panel directly. It is necessary to buy a new one. It is recommended to buy a finished wardrobe, which saves too much money than a custom wardrobe.
