Shanxi Qiao family compound built in a large area, what style?
Qiao family compound overall courtyard like two happy characters, divided into six courtyards, inside twenty small courtyards, more than three hundred houses, a total area of 10,642 square meters, the house covers an area of more than four thousand square meters. The compound is a fully enclosed as a castle-like building. The compound faces the street on the third side and is not built together with the surrounding houses. The outer perimeter is a closed brick wall of over 10 meters in height. The upper level is a female wall palisade with more floors dotted with pavilions of grandeur. The gate runs from west to east with a high top floor and a doorway in the middle of the gate. Opposite the gate is a brick sculpture displaying the walls. Inside the gate, there is an east-west tunnel paved with stones. The tunnel against the wall has parapets on both sides. In the innermost part of the tunnel is the shrine, and presenting an opposite position to the gate, there is a temple-like building.
There are three courtyards to the north, all with gabled gates of historic corridors, with dark columns and three large bays. There are too many cars going in and out. There are tethered stones outside the gates, and from east to west are the old courtyard and the northwest-facing courtyard and the study in that order. All of the cloth courtyards were front-facing partial structures in which the master of the main courtyard lived, while in the partial courtyards the servants of the guest house lived in the rooms and kitchen. Architecturally, the partial courtyards are relatively low and the roof structures are hardly the same. The main courtyard is a tiled house and the partial courtyards are square brick bungalows, reflecting both ethical order and a sense of architectural hierarchy. The compound contains four main buildings, six gatehouses and six pavilions. Each courtyard has walkways on its roof to facilitate nighttime patrolling of the sanatorium.
