Pur and eva edge banding machine

The difference between eva edge sealing and pur edge sealing is as follows:

1, different components

In terms of composition, eva is generally composed of basic resin, while pur is generally composed of isocyanate-terminated polyurethane prepolymer, so the raw materials used are different.

2, the amount of glue is different

Judging from the amount of glue applied, due to the thin waist line of pur, the amount of glue applied is relatively small, generally only about 1/3 of that of eva edge sealing.

3. Different characteristics

In terms of characteristics, pur has better cohesiveness and elasticity, while eva will melt into a liquid when heated to a certain temperature, and then form a solid after cooling, but this solid has no toughness and cannot be bonded.

4, the effect is different

In terms of effect, the two effects are different. Some people have done experiments, one with EVA and the other with PUR. Then bake the edge with fire and tear a small hole. After cooling, it is found that if the EVA edge is sealed, it is easy to tear, and the PUR edge can't be torn off anyway, so the back edge is sealed more tightly and firmly.
