Summary of fifth grade tradition

The seventh lesson of China traditional culture is to be kind to others.

First of all, explain the performance of benevolent people treating others with love.

First of all, we can understand "benevolence" from its form, and understand that benevolence is the relationship between people.

1. Understand what Mencius said: "A benevolent person loves others, and a lover loves them with kindness." (And illustrate his point of view-kingly way and bullying. )

2. Explain a transcendence of "benevolence", that is, the concrete embodiment of benevolence rising to the social level. You can quote from The Book of Rites, Liu Yun or Kang Youwei's Book of Great Harmony to explain the concept of "One World".

3. Confucius said, "Benevolent people suffer first and then speak benevolence." This is the principle that Confucius asked people to pay for kindness, which can be exemplified as: the opposite of Mencius "declared to live alone without shirking." (Then the students discuss the examples of benevolent people who are difficult before they get it, and share them in the class. )

Second, explain compassion, the end of man.

1. Mencius said: "Compassion is the end of man." This is the root of benevolence in the heart, which can be illustrated by Mencius' example of young children.

2. "Being close to benevolence" is the principle of the unity of benevolence, knowledge and practice, and it is also the performance of benevolence in concrete actions. Yan Hui's March Against Benevolence and Righteousness can be taken as an example to illustrate its significance, and students can discuss how to achieve the unity of knowledge and action.

Third, explain how to be kind to people and how to love things.

1. Mencius said, "Pro is kindness to people, kindness to people and love for things". Kissing is the most basic virtue, and it is a two-way virtue love, including the love between parents and children, as well as the love between brothers and sisters. So Confucianism believes that filial piety is the foundation of benevolence. You can give an example of putting pears in Kong Rong, and let the students talk about their personal experiences. )

Kindness means loving the benevolence around you, even all the people, which is the love promoted by kissing. Worrying about others' worries and enjoying others' happiness is a benevolent person, that is, Confucius' views of "loving the masses" and "brothers all over the world" can be illustrated by taking military wars as an example.

3. Loving things is the third extension of kindness. For example, don't cut down vegetation when it grows, don't catch fish when it breeds, don't kill newborn bugs, and don't hurt flying birds. These are all manifestations of caring for all things, and this view can be expounded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen's China spirit.
