Theme of Traditional Debate Competition for College Students

This debate is good, but unfortunately I didn't type it myself.

The argument is whether to carry forward China's traditional democratic culture. On the surface, it is easy to fight, but it is actually a misunderstanding. Only when the debate is about "whether to promote China's traditional culture" can you think so.

Democracy is the key. Traditional culture and traditional democratic culture are two different things.

Democracy is a purely western concept. There is nothing exactly the same in China's traditional ideology and culture. Only when western ideas were introduced into China, China scholars found something similar in the traditional culture of China, and then they said that it was the traditional democratic culture of China, but it was not the case at all.

This is a debate in which the lower level is positive, the middle level is equally divided, and the upper level is negative.

I don't know what your major is. I suggest you read through the textbooks of History of Western Political Thought and History of China Political Thought in the university (the textbooks of these two courses are not difficult to find), so as to understand the mistakes in academic integration of democracy, traditional culture, China traditional culture and western traditional culture, especially after Western learning entered China, especially some mistakes that have not been corrected by ordinary people so far.

You can think in two ways.

One is to directly deny the existence of China's traditional democratic culture (I personally think so), and it can be brought into full play by doing enough academic skills.

The other is not to deny the existence of China's traditional democratic culture, but to prove that what we have been doing is western democratic culture and what we should be doing is western traditional culture from two aspects: political practice and theoretical necessity. There are two aspects to be prepared here. First, read more books by Locke and Rousseau, but don't read special books. There is not enough time. Second, we should understand that Marxism also belongs to and comes from western culture.

It's a little circuitous. I don't know if you can understand it. You can call me if you have any questions, qq33 1808464.

As for what you said, I want to find some materials to publicize the traditional culture of China. The answer is almost none. . . At least it's hard to find. . . This kind of information is too reactionary. After all, few people in China advocate total westernization.
