A multiplexer is a multi-port electronic gage interface that can be used to aggregate multiple gage devices into a serial communications interface on a computer.
2/4-port multiplexers (Mux) can be connected to many brands of digital gauges, such as Mitutoyo, Fowler, Federal, Maxum, Chicago Dial Indicator, Mahr, Starrett, Brown, and Sharp, etc., and the gauges can be electronic scales, balances, counters, CMMs, and other devices. These digital/serial devices can be mixed or paired.
The 2/4-port Mux is easy to use, and you can start using it as soon as it's connected, with no gears to set and no software to install. Simply turn on the power, the connection is complete and you are ready to use. Gauge readings can be controlled by the gauge send button, a remote footswitch, or a host command Gauge readings can be taken in batches or all at once as needed
