I used to be a Buddhist, but I don't want to be anymore and want to convert to Taoism, how do I go about it?

I think it is one's own freedom to convert to any denomination, and there is nothing wrong with that. But to say that giving up Buddhism to convert to Taoism is to abandon the darkness is a bit wrong.

Because the ultimate goal of all teachings should be the same. Taoism speaks of the unity of heaven and man, Buddhism speaks of the four emptiness, are to lead us to the good road.

Buddhism talks about following the law and not following the people, don't look at what the believers do, look at what is said in the Dharma. If a Buddhist does not act according to the Dharma, or even against the Dharma, then he is not a true Buddhist, or has not yet become a true Buddhist, so why should we punish ourselves with the mistakes of others?

Is it Buddha or devil? Is it heaven or hell? Sometimes it is only in our thoughts.

Regardless of whether you believe in Buddhism or Taoism, following the classics and following the teachings is the real way to abandon the darkness. Otherwise, how do we know if we have thrown ourselves into the dark again?

Since Ru Shi Tao and other religions exist, there must be a reason for their existence, which is not something we can control with a few words.
