There are five types of calligraphy: seal script, regular script, official script, running script and cursive script.
1. seal script: it is a general term for big seal script and small seal script. Its brushwork is thin and strong, with many straight lines. There are Fang Bi, round pen and sharp pen, and there are more "hanging needles" in writing.
Dazhuan refers to the inscriptions on bronze, bronze and six-nation scripts, which preserve the obvious characteristics of ancient hieroglyphics. Xiao Zhuan, also known as "Qin Zhuan", is a common character of Qin State. The simplified font of Xiao Zhuan is characterized by its uniform and neat shape and easier writing than Shu Wen.
2. Regular script: Regular script is also called regular script, real script and official script. It gradually evolved from official script, becoming more simplified and horizontal and vertical. This kind of Chinese character font is correct, which is the popular handwritten orthographic Chinese character. Regular script is also an official name.
3. Official script: generally speaking, it is developed from seal script, with wide and flat glyphs, long horizontal paintings and short vertical paintings, and pays attention to "silkworm head and wild goose tail" and "twists and turns". According to the unearthed bamboo slips, Lishu originated in the Warring States Period. Legend has it that Cheng Miao was a servant and han li reached its peak in the Eastern Han Dynasty, which had a great influence on later calligraphy. The calligraphy circle was known as "han li Tang Kai".
4. Running script: Running script is a general term, which can be divided into running script and running script. On the basis of regular script, a font between regular script and cursive script was developed to make up for the slow writing speed of regular script and the illegibility of cursive script.
5. cursive script: cursive script has a broad sense and a narrow sense. In a broad sense, regardless of the times, all scribbled words can be regarded as cursive. In a narrow sense, that is, as a specific font. Formed in the Han Dynasty, it evolved on the basis of official script for the convenience of writing. It is characterized by simple structure and continuous strokes.
