Ethnic handicrafts making methods
Ethnic handicrafts making methods are weaving, embroidery, handmade pottery, origami and knitting.
1, Weaving
Weaving is an ancient handicraft making method. It includes a variety of materials, such as wool, twine, grass rope, bamboo and so on. Common knitted items include scarves, blankets, baskets and hats. There are also a variety of knitting techniques such as plain, jacquard and crochet. It takes patience and careful handwork to create a finished knitted item.
2. Embroidery
Embroidery is a traditional craft that uses needles and fine threads to create designs or words on fabric. There are many types of embroidery, such as cross-stitch, flat-needle embroidery, modified Chinese embroidery and so on. Before embroidery, the pattern or letters need to be drawn out with a pencil or water-soluble pen. 3. Handmade pottery
Handmade pottery is a way of creating artwork by hand using clay as a material. The first step in pottery design is to form the desired shape from the clay and then fire it into pottery after the clay has dried. Before firing, some designs need to be made, such as patterns, coloring, and so on. The firing process requires good time and temperature control to get the best results.
4, Origami
Offsetting is a handicraft art originated in Japan, where pieces of paper are folded and curled to turn them into works of art. Common types of origami include birds, flowers, animals, and buildings. The key to origami is proper folding and technique. There are many books and video tutorials available to learn.
5. Weaving
Weaving is a handcrafted art that utilizes facing or butt seams to weave thin or wide strips of fabric into countless forms, including flat weaving, red silk weaving, turn-and-wrap weaving, wrap-around weaving, and many other variations. Different techniques of wrapping, crossing, and tube shuttling need to be mastered in order to produce a wide variety of woven items.
