The Origin, Development and Decline of Yin-Yang Road in Japan

Historical overview of yin-yang meridians

Dong Jing Yi's works (those who are interested in the unfathomable must read them ~)

Yin-Yang Daoism originated from the introduction of China's "Yin-Yang and Five Elements" thought 1500 years ago, and later developed into a local religious form in Japan and became a part of Japanese Shinto. Rising period (Bird ~ Nara Age)

Yin-Yang Daoism originated from the idea of "Yin-Yang and Five Elements" introduced to Japan by China in the 6th century, and was used as "new knowledge" by the rulers at that time, which promoted the reform of Japanese social state rule at that time.

Prince of Stables (Shoto Kutaishi), Prince of the Sea (Emperor Tianwu), Huimei Yasheng (Fujiwara Nakama), Kibi No Asomi Makibi, etc. Explain Japanese history with some concepts of yin and yang (such as the Five Elements Theory). One example is that Emperor Huan moved the capital from the principle of "four gods corresponding".

Among the people, some original religious forms in Japan also began to borrow some concepts and methods of Yin and Yang.

Peak period (Ping 'an Dynasty)

Heian period, Yin-Yang Daoism and Yin-Yang Division have become part of state organs, with specialized departments as Yin-Yang Liao and officials as Yin-Yang heads. With the stability of the aristocratic system and the stability of the whole society, yin and yang divination has become more and more important.

In the mid-Ping 'an period, a Yin-Yang teacher who thought he was a great success appeared-Abe Harumi, and the Yin-Yang Road reached its peak. Yin-yang Tao is mainly divided into calendar Tao and astronomical Tao, namely He Maojia and Abe Jia.

——————————————————————————————————————————

Popularization (Middle Ages)

In the Kamakura era, with the decline of imperial power, the stage, as the original teacher of Yin and Yang, was increasingly dilapidated. Many original Yin-Yang sects began to flow into the people, and soon combined with other religions such as esoteric sects, forming a new Yin-Yang Taoism suitable for the public. Now some folk customs in Japan continue some rituals or practices of Yin and Yang Taoism at that time.

——————————————————————————————————————————

Recession period (modern)

During the Warring States period, speaking with strength, Yin and Yang were not popular. It was not until Tokugawa Ieyasu established the Edo shogunate that the idea of replacing the five elements reappeared. Tsunami Hall, the direct descendant of Akihito Abe's family, thrived again, and the Hemao family, whose heirs were cut off, thrived together with the Qinjing family. However, in the middle of the Edo period, Yu Tu, who was a Taoist priest and a native of Taifu for a long time, finally gained the dominant position among all Japanese Yin and Yang teachers.

——————————————————————————————————————————

Decline (modern)

In the Meiji era, Yin-Yang Taoism was abolished in the name of "Yin Temple Religion", and some of its contents were retained in the name of folk beliefs, and the Shinto of the shrine broke with Yin-Yang Taoism.

————————————————————————————————————————

Rejuvenation (modern future)

With the increasing practice of exorcist Dongjiang Taro of Yin and Yang, the great rebirth and rejuvenation of Yin and Yang Dao is coming.

Japanese Yin-Yang Daoism (I)

-lost in the dribs and drabs of yin and yang.

Predict the operation of justice and manipulate people's fate by using Superman's "skill". Teachers of Yin and Yang-the superstar Abe Seiming in Heian period, his biggest competitor Lu Wudao Man, and many teachers of Yin and Yang distributed all over the country. Let's travel through their legends together and start a journey to find the deep mysteries and secrets.

I started a trip to the ancient ruins of Yinyang Road.

Of course, no matter when, travel is always very exciting.

For me, if I expect someone, it must be heian period's doctor of astronomy, Akie Abe. In fact, there is another person that I care about very much, and that is Abe Harumi's biggest rival, Lu Wudao Man.

These two people, positive, anti-party, or anti-party, all appear in opposing positions. Of course, among the competitors, inscrutability is the winner and Tao Man is the loser.

Why is this happening? Probably because the legends handed down from generation to generation are widely circulated around the mystery. But there is no doubt that Lu Wudao Man, who is described as the biggest and strongest opponent, exists as an extremely important "business enemy". So, perhaps by accident, this trip may restore the reputation of Taoism again. I have this hunch.

So this time, on the eve of the trip, please read some bedtime stories. Compared with preparing in advance, making an appointment or anything else, a general knowledge and understanding of Yin and Yang channels is indispensable.

● Technology from China-Yin-Yang Road.

First of all, at first, I have to say that Yin and Yang were introduced from China. Although it was called "Jin", China was not known as "Yin-Yang Road" in the Ming Dynasty. This name may have existed in ancient times, but it is almost a faint shadow that has been completely ignored.

With the change of dynasties, various schools of thought, such as Confucianism, Legalism and Mohism, were born in the era of a hundred schools of thought contending, among which there were many people who could be called "Yin and Yang School". From engaging in spells to becoming political advisers, people with various "heirloom skills" work for princes and nobles everywhere. These people are called "Yin Yang Jia". Please note the difference in their names.

The hundred statements in Historical Records can be divided into six groups: ① Yin and Yang; ② Confucianism; ③ Mohism; ④ Method; ⑤ Name; ⑤ Taoism. Questioning what's going on in the world, managing a truth, and being familiar with Pepsi-Cola in order to achieve its goal by ideological or technical methods, this is the significance of the existence of a hundred schools of thought contending.

Next, look at the characteristics of the six systems from the perspective of what role they have played. First of all, our most striking yin and yang family wrote in the preface to Historical Records Taishi Gong: "It is auspicious and taboo to taste the art of stealing yin and yang, which makes people afraid; However, its four sequences are smooth and cannot be lost. " (Note: This is the original version of Historical Records, not a literal translation)

In contrast, Confucianism is nothing but erudition. It is only mentioned that it strictly and orderly stipulates the order of monarch, minister, father, son, husband, old and young, and is an indispensable group. On the other hand, Mohism is mainly about his frugality, emphasizing the spirit of frugality. Legalists are strict and not too generous, but it is really effective to separate the monarch and the minister correctly. Famous scholars (criminals) bind people and easily lose their authenticity, but their theory of correcting names is also worth listening to. Finally, Taoism pays attention to the single-mindedness of human spirit, and combines its own actions with the invisible Tao to make everything full. This technique follows the harmony of yin and yang, takes the goodness of Confucianism and Mohism, and integrates the essence of nomenclature, which changes at any time due to things, is omnipresent and easy to master. (Note: All the original texts here: "The world is consistent and full of worries, and the same return is different." The husband's yin and yang, Confucianism and Mohism, fame, law and virtue, this matter is also the governor, straight from the word, and there is a province. Taste the secret of yin and yang, auspicious and taboo, making people afraid; However, its sequence is smooth at four o'clock, and it cannot be lost. Confucians are rich and want less, and diligent and get less, because it is difficult to do everything; However, it is not easy to distinguish between husband and wife in the order of the ceremony of monarch, minister and son. It is difficult to be frugal, because it is impossible to be frugal; However, it is powerful for this purpose and cannot be abolished. Legalists are strict and less generous; However, this is the division between the monarch and the minister and cannot be changed. Famous artists make people frugal and good at distortion; However, its name is real and we can't ignore it. Taoism makes people single-minded, energetic, invisible and supports everything. It is also a skill. Because of the harmony between Yin and Yang, we should adopt the goodness of Confucianism and Mohism, sum up the essence of the law, keep pace with the times, conform to the changes of things, establish customs, and do everything unsuitable. It is easy to operate with reference to the agreement and get twice the result with half the effort. Confucianism is not. It is believed that man dominates the face of the world, and the Lord advocates harmony with ministers, and the Lord follows ministers first. In this way, the Lord works and the minister relaxes. As for the importance of the avenue, be healthy and envious, be smart and let go. The husband is exhausted, and the use is ours. The chaos of form and spirit, wanting to live with heaven and earth for a long time, is unheard of. Translator: Khan ... keeps commenting, it is better to read the original text than to understand the ancient prose ...) In the account of Historical Records, hundred schools of thought generally explained it very well, except that he felt a sense of disobedience to the praise of Taoism. Yin-yang school and Taoism mean practicing Yin-yang school, which is also a textual research on the rise of modern school. Then, this so-called technique of Yin and Yang is also recorded in historical records: "Husband and Yin and Yang, four o'clock, eight places, twelve degrees and twenty-four, each with its own laws, those who follow it prosper, and those who oppose it die." That's it, that is, it's a technology that makes people's lives and natural cycles consistent with each other.

Yin and Yang are two kinds of "qi" or energy circulating in nature. From this, the Yin and Yang scholars observed the changes of "Qi", specifically the phenomena of climate and customs, and made a calendar on this basis. Calendar is not only the change of solar terms, but also the guidance of sacrifice to agricultural work. It is a timetable that lists all living customs.

Besides, this schedule is better than the timetable. It not only describes the general changes in twelve months of a year, but also includes natural phenomena that change in units of ten years, a hundred years and a thousand years. For example, the change of the sun's black spots in an eleven-year cycle can be expressed by the stars in the sky, describing the patterns in the sky, that is, observing constellations. This is astronomy. Astronomy predicts solar and lunar eclipses and observes the phenomenon from the discovery of meteors to the change of star position. Sima Qian, who began to study astronomy from his father's time, continued to accumulate astronomical knowledge after his father, and later chose November as the first day of the calendar. This is the original source of the original taichu calendar method and China calendar.

In addition, Yin and Yang actually refer not only to Yin and Yang, but also to the "five elements". The five elements based on the five planets of wood, fire, earth, gold and water are considered as the original biomass of all things, and the interaction between yin and yang and the five original biomass produces a natural cycle. This theory was completed in the Han Dynasty. In addition, the thought of Yin-Yang and Five Elements is also an important basic principle of China's prosperous divination.

● Enter ancient history

So, how did these thoughts of Yin and Yang spread to Japan? Let me talk about it here.

As far as Japan is concerned, we can get a glimpse of the knowledge gained by going west to the mainland or from people from the east, although the situation is very complicated. Before the establishment of the Yamato court, during the Three Kingdoms period, Japanese envoys traveled westward to Daiwan County (Le Lang County) and were received by Wang Wei. Take Wanjun on the Korean Peninsula for example, it was the seat of Wei Dynasty in China at that time. So there was a lot of cultural and material exchanges through North Korea in that era. Of course, we are not looking at Korean culture, but at the root of the occupation by China culture at that time.

People who go to the mainland from Japan actually exist, but it is not clear whether they brought back Yin and Yang. Of course, there is also a legend that people returning from the mainland use horses, turtles and other divination methods.

In contrast, people who came to the East from the mainland left more ancient documents and records.

Daiwa Court was established, and Dr. Jason Wu of Baekje (the name of ancient Korea) arrived in Japan in the early 6th century. Dr. Jason Wu, Gao 'an Mao of the Han Dynasty, brought the Book of Changes. The Book of Changes is the foundation of Yin and Yang literature.

In the fifteenth year of Qin Ming, it was also from Baekje that Yijing teachers Shi De and Dr. Wang Daoliang and calendar doctors Zhou De and Dr. Wang Baosun came. So the Book of Changes and calendars gradually developed in Japan.

Then in October of the 10th year of Tuguhun, a monk named Qin Guan came from Baekje and came to worship with a lot of books about Yin and Yang. If you ask why you carry so many such books with you, there was a great demand for books on Yin and Yang Studies and Materia Medica around Japan during the Qin and Ming Dynasties, and it was precisely because of this demand.

Interestingly, however, it was not civil servants and scholars, or even doctors of the Five Classics, but monks who first introduced these books to this point. Why should Yin and Yang be formally introduced by monks? This is the most important point on the Yin-Yang Road in Japan, I think.

As mentioned earlier, the basic fields of Yin-Yang Taoism are the Book of Changes and the calendar, which was brought to Japan by the official doctor Dr. Wu Jingzi, and it is indispensable to train Japanese students, especially the calendar, to manage and maintain political power.

On the other hand, the books brought by Qin Guan monks include almanac, astronomy, geography, Tibetan armor and alchemy books. Almanac and astronomy are very necessary basic knowledge in non-mathematical observation. Comparatively speaking, geography books, armor avoidance books and alchemy books are all applied technical books or practical books. Nowadays, geography is basically the knowledge of geomantic omen, and books such as geomantic omen, armor avoidance and alchemy are used to prevent disasters and serve ghosts and gods. Among them, Dun Fang Jia Shu was later developed into a ninja in Japan.

As a Buddhist who participated in the construction of tombs, Guan Le judged the geomantic exorcism in cemeteries and handed down many practical yin and yang techniques, such as Rubik's Cube. Thanks to it, the magic of numbers and colors that Yin and Yang are most proud of are flexibly used by Japanese politics.

On this basis, Shoto Kutaishi, who converted to Buddhism, formulated the Twelfth Order of the Throne and seventeen Constitutions. In particular, article 17 of the Constitution was promulgated in the first year of Jiazi, the main branch, that is, pushing the ancient times for ten years. Reflected the thoughts and theories of Yin and Yang at that time.

However, as a monk, watching music has also caused many problems. At that time, Buddhism had not been reused in the imperial court, nor did it rise between the people and foreigners. During his long-term residence in Japan, Guan Le not only taught Yin and Yang to bureaucrats, but also taught people, which was an important part of increasing Buddhist work. It is not enough for yin and yang to spread only among the people. It was at this time that the folk yin and yang scholars who converted to Buddhism-people known as masters of yin and yang scholars-came into being.

As a court official, Yin and Yang want to monopolize this technology. In order to achieve the goal of strangling the master of Yin and Yang, they issued a decree prohibiting monks from practicing the master of Yin and Yang. At the same time, this technology was gradually monopolized by the imperial court, especially the bureaucrats.

Emperor Wu of Heaven, who had a lot of experience in practicing Yin and Yang, immediately established a system of "Yin and Yang Mansions" monopolized by officials. Zhongwu province has jurisdiction over astronomy, calendar, wind and cloud, color and other officials. Of course, the planning of the capital is also the work of the Yin and Yang families.

But in Japan at that time, it was a fact that most of the Yin and Yang teachers trained from watching music were monks. Moreover, monks cannot hold official positions. Because of this, there is no way, many people are secularized, and then they are hired by the court as yin and yang families.

The continuous development of this situation has given birth to the complex interest relationship between the master of Yin and Yang family and the official of Yin and Yang family. The confrontation between Abe Seiming and Lu Wudao Man is undoubtedly a story reflecting the situation in this period.

As a result, the expression of "Yin and Yang Master" appeared in the provisions of the Dabao Law on Yin and Yang Family. In short, as far as we can trace back to the era of Emperor Tianwu, on the one hand, it was not put forward as a "Yin-Yang Road" at that time, on the other hand, it was not after the Heian period when the Story of the Past and the Present was founded and the legend of Abe Sunny was widely circulated, but also after the eleventh century.

* Operation of Cruise Star

The art of yin and yang has a deep relationship with the stars. Because the movement and change of stars are often signs of great changes outside the almanac. It is precisely because of this relationship with the stars that the custom of believing in the stars involved in Yin-Yang Taoism is also widely spread in Japan. Belief in Polaris and the Big Dipper, belief in wonderful knowledge, and the tauren king who is predestined friends are all star gods deeply related to the art of Yin and Yang.

The relationship with stars is a very important field for Yin and Yang scientists, mainly in astronomy.

For yin and yang astronomers, there is no stronger demand for celestial changes than correctly predicting solar and lunar eclipses.

This need for astronomical observation has two main backgrounds. First, according to the running order of heaven and earth, it can be proved to be peaceful, especially the almanac obtained from astronomical observation. If the solar eclipse cannot be accurately predicted, then the function of this almanac is considered to be imperfect.

Another background is about the date determination of ceremonies and political activities held by the imperial court. Judging auspicious days is the basic function of almanac and astronomy. If we have to choose an unlucky day, we must use a different method-"avoiding armour".

Therefore, it is very necessary for Yin and Yang teachers to correctly reflect the operation of celestial bodies and manage almanac. To put it simply, it is necessary to correctly predict the solar eclipse.

By the way, the observation of solar eclipse and lunar eclipse often exceeds the prediction of almanac, and there are many examples that the prediction ends in failure.

Because this is related to the prestige of the division of Yin and Yang, the bureaucrats of the division of Yin and Yang are constantly trying to check the almanac. Among them, in the era of Ping An Ren Ming, Yu Cheng, a Yin and Yang family, was sent to the Tang Dynasty as an envoy to study the new calendar of China; There is also the real goose in Da Chun, a figure who used the new calendar of China "Xuan Ming Calendar" to carry out calendar reform.

Unfortunately, however, even the "Xuan Ming Calendar" has uncorrected errors. During the Edo period, there was a two-day error between celestial bodies and almanac. Then there is the problem of solar eclipse and almanac error So it's time for Zechuan Chunhai to change the calendar (note: Zechuan Chunhai: a famous representative of "An Jing Liu" in the history of Japanese Go, known as "The second-order An Shi is a philosopher". It was also one of the first people to draw up the Japanese calendar. According to Chunhai's prediction, there will be six eclipses in the next three years after Kuanwen thirteen years. However, if the calendar of the Ming Dynasty is taken as the standard, it is all beyond its prediction. Frightened, Chunhai hastily abolished the Xuanming Calendar and suggested changing it to the previous calendar, but the disadvantages of this calendar were soon exposed. The fact is that even the Xuanming calendar can predict the solar eclipse of Yanbao every three years, but the chronograph calendar can't. Because of this, the days when the teacher of Yin and Yang was accused lasted until the Meiji period.

If we refer to books and trace the origin of Japanese calendar making, we can trace it back to "ィザナギ"? ィザナミ (the earliest Japanese Er Shen) period.

After that, there are detailed accounts of Dr. Almanac and Dr. Astronomy sent by the mainland. In the first month of the twelfth year of Emperor Tugu, Japan began to officially use calendar days. Under this background, Fujiwara, an official from China, got the support of Yinyangjia Group and developed astronomical calendar technology by using turtle divination. By the time of Emperor Wu of Heaven, the creation of Yin and Yang reached its peak.

People in charge of astronomy and calendar calculate the moon's profit and loss according to arithmetic, that is, from the beginning of the month to the end of the month, determine the size of the month (and polish the month), observe the 24 solar terms and predict the solar eclipse. The chronicle of the solar eclipse was recorded in the national history from the twenty-sixth year of Tuguhun, which is the whole process.

In addition, at the same time, the large-scale system of knowledge and handling affairs, such as armor-avoiding, Taiyi technology, star maps, armillary sphere and other celestial observation instruments, as well as divination on the chosen day, exorcism, and secret instruments of star sacrifice, are all things that the court prohibits from spreading to the outside world.

● A road to complexity and strangeness.

With the progress of the times, two problems gradually emerged. Specifically, one is that it has become increasingly difficult to manage astronomy and calendars since the solar and lunar eclipses. On the other hand, astronomical divination and yin-yang techniques, which should be kept secret, flowed from the court to the people. This part of the outflow went out to practice difficult celestial observation problems, mainly focusing on the selection of dates and good or bad fortune divination, exorcism and so on. Soon these were named "Yin Yang Road".

In view of this situation, the court erased the culprit of demagoguery, that is, almanac notes (good or bad judgment, divination and other related notes) and stopped. However, the outflow of Yin and Yang channels is already so large that it is impossible to erase the early calendar notes.

As a result, in astronomy, an important day of the "Winter Solstice Day" ceremony used by the imperial court to welcome the New Year appeared, which was inconsistent with the direct calendar. This time, Dr. Mu Ye, a calendar doctor, suggested adopting a more accurate new calendar "Xuan Ming Calendar" in China. But unfortunately, there is inevitably a big calculation error between the calendar and the actual season. In this way, the authority of the Yin and Yang family immediately led to the landslide. As a result, the Yin-Yang Road hosted by Sanshan Qingxing, a doctor of literature who has nothing to do with astronomy (except astronomical calculation, the divination part of the calendar note) occupies a dominant position. And produced the habit of changing the number of elements in Jiazi Year and Xinyou Year. The end of this incident lasted until the early years of Meiji.

In the mid-Ping 'an period, due to the decline of the authority of the early Yin and Yang families, the folk Yin and Yang Taoism flourished instead. This trend once rose, and in the era of Nariakira, He Maozhong came into being. On the one hand, He Mao's family restored the authority of Yin and Yang, and at the same time built an authority system based on astronomical observation and occupation. Later, Yin and Yang were inherited by He Maobao and Abe Qingming respectively, and became a "family study" that was not passed on to disciples outside the door.

Here, the stage where two Yin and Yang teachers, Abe Harumi and Lu Wudaoman, appeared was established.

The Yin-Yang division was not only the Yin-Yang family of China School (calendar note, people who conform to the laws of natural operation), but also the pure mathematical project of astronomical observation and conservative almanac. However, some of these projects were oppressed by the people, and Buddhism was the main force to fight back. Since the Nara era, a part of Buddhist teachings has been popular among people with a book called Obsidian Sutra, in which China's version of astrology was added. This is a faction based on the prediction of solar and lunar eclipses and the calculation of new moons and dark moons, among which the representative is the bow-cutting mirror.

The almanac at that time, based on the benchmark, can correctly understand the role of the moon and the sun. The main way to go it alone is a kind of divination watch, which has auspicious days or auspicious days and auspicious days or auspicious days.

This is why Tokugawa Ieyasu rejected the Tsukiko family, the ancestor of the astronomical calendar. Although I can't go back to the Edo period to study the Yin-Yang method of astronomical observation in China and the West, as mentioned earlier, gradually, the situation of the Yin-Yang method family that rose in Japan during Abe Harumi's era, I think it has a great connection with the following visit.

Another thing to say is that in the era when the authority of the Yin and Yang families is declining, it is very necessary for the court to establish the image of Abe Seiming as a superhero anyway. After that, a large number of almanac books were distributed and sold in Japan, which made everyone know about Superman's Yin and Yang teacher, Abe Harumi, and spread his deeds widely, becoming a person with more authority than folk Yin and Yang teachers and tantric monks, and can be said to be a hero in Yin and Yang Road. At the same time, this hero is also regarded as the number one enemy by the folk Yin-Yang Taoism and Buddhism, and constantly attacks. I'm afraid this is a deed, and traces can still be seen in the remains of Yin and Yang Dao in various places.

————————————————————————————————————————

Yin and Yang have always been a very popular spell in ancient Japan. At that time, people often invited Yin and Yang teachers to pray and exorcise ghosts for them. Like Shaojiao and Anping Qingming, he was the top famous teacher of Yin and Yang at that time. It is said that until now, scrolls about Yin He have been found in some ancient temples (some people say they can be found in the library). But the records in those books have been copied many times and are probably inaccurate. In contemporary Japanese comics, most necromancers also use Yin and Yang. Yin-yang technique is widely spread in Japan, which shows one thing or two.

God: a supernatural being controlled by human beings. There are quite a number of types of gods and their levels are very complicated. I won't explain it in detail here (actually I'm not sure). Some gods with profound spiritual power have been passed down from generation to generation. For example, after the death of his father, his son or disciple will automatically gain the right and ability to operate the gods (such as pre-ghosts, post-ghosts, and ghosts).

Against the wind: refers to the spell of losing control and eating the master. Warlocks with low mental strength can easily use abstruse mantras. The light one is injured, and the heavy one is dead.

Sao Ling: Psychics (whether awake or not) unconsciously reveal their abilities when they are under pressure or anxious, which leads to abnormal events around them. This phenomenon is called Sao Ling.

Dog God: A god with high spiritual strength appears in the image of a dog, so it is called a dog god. Generally used to protect the master from evil. It can also be killed under some special circumstances, and the blood sacrifice spell has achieved the purpose of making up for the lack of skills and improving the power of the spell.

Dog ghost: A monster with high demon power appears as a dog, so it is called a dog ghost. It is basically the same as the dog god, but it is more dangerous than the dog god. If the owner's own spiritual strength can't suppress it, it may be eaten by it. Because it is a magical thing, the power of blood sacrifice will be higher than that of dog god, but the possibility of headwind is much greater.

(Dog gods and dogs and ghosts are among the gods, and their status is very high. Some practitioners are even manipulated by them. )

Pentacle: Although it is a basic spell, it is very powerful. The common five-pointed star is the symbol of its operation, and the mantra is "all the soldiers are fighting ahead" (from the mantra in the literature, it is hard to say if there are any mistakes). It can be used to strengthen the power of seals, and it can also be used to attack and summon gods. Especially against low-level spirits, it is absolutely effective.

Wandering souls: people who don't believe that they are dead, or who have nostalgia for the world, will become wandering souls. It is easy to be summoned by artists to be manipulated by temporary gods.

Earthbound spirit: The dead have deep feelings or thoughts about a certain place, and their souls will stay there to realize the wishes of the dead, which is haunted. Generally speaking, except for spiritual teachers, everyone deals with this kind of spiritual practice. By the way, the strength of the soul is not in the wrist, but in the feeling in the heart. Whether it is love or hate, the stronger the feelings, the greater the power of the soul. This is different from our practice. )

After talking about the basic knowledge of Yin and Yang, let's talk about the ghost clan who is at odds with warlocks.

According to legend, there are quite a few kinds of ghosts-some eat people's souls for a living, some foxes call them, some snow girls live on snow-capped mountains, and some evil spirits from hell ... Some even eat people's faces for a living. As for vampires, it is probably a race that came from the west later (the Japanese pronunciation of vampires is very similar to that of English).

Generally speaking, ghosts can be roughly divided into water, fire, wind, darkness and fierceness. Water, of course, refers to monsters that can control water freely. The representatives of this kind of monsters are the river boy and the snow girl. There are few monsters in the fire brigade. Vampires probably count (uncertain tone)? Wind, the so-called "wind master" and fog dog are representatives.

Darkness, which most monsters belong to, likes darkness and is evil in nature. Magic is its specialty. There are too many representatives of this monster, so I don't need to say it. Han, this monster doesn't have any power, but it's strong and has a strong attack power, so it's hard to get hurt. Most of them are burly, with tusks and livid or latosolic red faces. Basically, the level of this monster is very low, and advanced monsters in any other department can be easily killed.

Many of these ghosts can improve their strength by devouring other ghosts. There are many ways to eat, some just devour each other's souls, some even devour each other's bodies together, and some devour each other's demon power, making each other suddenly change from level 99 to level 2 and 3.

Ghosts with this ability sometimes look for psionic powers to devour, because eating psionic powers can get more energy than eating monsters-especially those ghosts who have no awakening ability and no attack ability at all.

Beaver: The legendary beaver is no different from that in Inuyasha. Legends all over Japan believe that civet cats have incredible power. They can change their shapes with leaves, and they especially like to become women. If you become a man, most of them are monks and children. They usually do some deceptive activities. When they become monks, they usually appear in the glorious image of persuading people to study hard, and some of them are even accepted by temples after being seen through. During the Edo period, the flax area was famous for the legend of civet cats, and still retains the names of civet cat cave, civet cat Sakamoto and so on.

Hetong: One of the Japanese devils, also known as "Hetaro". Perhaps it is because Japan is an island country that he is so famous in Japan. River children are generally about the same age as children, with bald heads and turtle shell-shaped clothes, and some river children don't wear turtle shells, but they are all hairy (strange, I suspect Shan Tong will be mentioned below). Like sumo, especially like to compete with people. Maybe it was a prank. I like to drag people and horses into the water, so I often hear about the drowning of a river boy. In many places, there are records of river children sending elixirs and fish to humans. In addition, the river boy also appears as a patron saint in many places.

Shan Tong: He lives in the mountains of Kyushu. He has long hair and is as tall as a child. Like a prank, but not bad. You can ask him to make breakfast for you, but if you want to hurt him, he will find out and run away at once. On the contrary, you will get sick or have a fire at home. Some people in Shan Tong will go to the river to be river boys in spring, and then return to the mountains to be Shan Tong in autumn.

Tiangou: One of the Japanese devils, specially used to scare all kinds of monsters in the mountains. Legend has it that monks who died of obsession or delusion and could not go to Elysium fell into the "Tiangou Road" of the magic road. Tengu can be divided into good and evil, and there are many kinds, including pommel horse tengu, big tengu, black tengu, konoha tengu, rice gang and so on. According to the "Tian Gou Jing" recorded in the Edo period, there were125,500 Tian Gou in the world (in the Edo period again? )。 According to Matsumoto's legend, Tengu especially hates mackerel. If he is caught, he will always say "it must be because he ate mackerel".

Snow Girl: A woman with fair skin and outstanding appearance and white clothes on the table (Little Dragon Girl) often appears with her children and will give them to babies or children. According to legend, in remote places, if
