The traditional Thai New Year, namely the Songkran Festival, lasts from April 13 to June 15 in the Gregorian calendar every year.

During the festival, people travel with giant Buddha statues, which are carried by vehicles, followed by floats, on which the "Goddess of Gan Song" stands. ?

On both sides of the road where the parade passed, kind men and women lined up on both sides of the street, pouring water soaked in scallops and permeated with spices into silver bowls, praying for a happy New Year and good weather.
