This is the so-called "virtue". "Tao" mainly refers to an external requirement, while "virtue" refers to an internal spiritual sentiment or realm. The combination of the word "virtue" first appeared in Xunzi's article "Encouraging Learning": "Therefore, learning ends with ceremony, and the husband is called the extreme of virtue."
