Should the development of traditional culture in China be based on inheritance or innovation?

My opinion is that priority should be given to inheritance. An important reason why China society can last for more than 5,000 years is that our traditional culture has played an important role, otherwise China would not be called China long ago. However, in the process of modern development, we have completely abandoned the traditional things, which has caused great harm to the essence of tradition. Until China's reform and opening up, people's eyes were focused on money and interests. Traditional things are even more fragmented. When some countries with Confucianism as the dominant ideology, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan Province Province of China, developed rapidly under the impetus of Confucianism, we found that the essence of our country was not well utilized by us, but was better preserved in other countries. Restoring traditional culture is not simply returning to feudal countries and ideas. Instead, we will keep the essence that is beneficial to us and don't let it be abandoned in our hands because of innovation and other reasons. Without innovation, there will be no motive force for social development, but is a society lacking traditional foundation still called China?
