How to open a Taobao shop

To open a shop, you must first register as a Taobao member. Of course, registration is free. If you have already shopped on Taobao, you have already registered, so you can skip the registration step.

Click "Free Registration" in the upper left corner of the page and fill in the account information in the opened window, including:

Member name: You set your own name, just like other forums.

Login password, verification code, needless to say.

After entering, click "Agree to the Agreement and Register" in the next window for verification. You need to enter your mobile phone number.

Step 2: Improve Alipay information.

After completing the registration of Taobao members, you will receive an email from Alipay, prompting you to get a free Alipay account, but after logging in to Alipay, you need to improve and complete your personal information.

Click "Log in to Alipay now" to log in. In the subsequent interface, you need to set your own identity information and payment method, and then complete Alipay authentication. First enter the payment password and ID information.

In the next window, set the payment method, that is, enter the relevant information of your bank card, so that everyone can enjoy Alipay's payment, collection and transfer functions in the future. It is worth mentioning that Alipay is quite intelligent. After entering the card number, it can intelligently identify the type of bank and card. You also need to fill in your mobile phone number reserved in the bank to verify whether the bank card belongs to you.

Click "Agree to the agreement and confirm", and then you will be asked to verify it with your mobile phone, and just fill in the received verification code.

Next, you will be prompted that Alipay service has been opened and account information needs to be improved. Click the "Perfect Account Information" link to make the final settings.

Complete household registration information: including occupation, common address and validity period of ID card. After setting, click "OK" finally.

Step 3: AliPay real-name authentication

The above operation only completes the filling of Alipay related information. In order to open a shop, you also need Alipay's real-name authentication.

Log in to Alipay website/,click Account Settings-Basic Information-Real Name Authentication-Authentication Now, and click Apply Now.

Real-name authentication requires everyone to hold a resident ID card, a Taiwanese certificate or a passport. Hold a bank card with the same name as my certificate.

In the next window, select "Apply Now" under "General Certification".

Next, you need to verify the identity information, verify the bank card information, and finally complete the authentication.

Step 4: Taobao shop certification

Log on to Taobao. Com, click "Seller Center", and then click "Free Shop" in the window that opens. In the window that opens, you will be prompted that Taobao's store opening certification failed, and then click the "Certification Now" link for certification.

In the window that opens, you need to use your ID card to enter your ID number, head portrait and bust photo, and then upload it for approval. Pay attention to some details of the photo, and there are corresponding tips on the right. For example, photos need to be bareheaded, and it is recommended not to wear makeup. I need my ID card to hold a certificate. Be sure to read the ID number clearly. The ID number cannot be blocked. Photos support jpg, jpeg and bmp formats, with a maximum of 5M. Half-length photos and hand-held ID photos should be taken in the same scene, and front photos and one-inch photos cannot be taken as half-length photos.

Photos cannot be processed by software, including cutting and altering. Then wait for approval.

Step 5: Fill in the store information.

After passing the Taobao shop opening certification, you can open a shop. Log in to Taobao, click "Seller Center", and then click "Store Free" in the window that opens. Then in the next webpage, click "Fill in Store Information", and then start setting basic information such as store name, store category, store profile, online store business type, and source setting.
