Treatment and effect of arachnoid cyst

Arachnoid cyst is a benign lesion, which may be caused by encephalitis infection or other inflammation, or it may be congenital. Simply put, the reticular meninges around the brain tissue are locally adhered, and the cerebrospinal fluid around the brain is partially wrapped, forming a "water-in-water" structure.

Treatment needs to be based on the degree of clinical symptoms, and generally small ones can be observed conservatively. If it is large or causes symptoms, surgical stripping or suction can be used to decompress. Very simple surgery, generally less trauma, or interventional therapy is simpler, but arachnoid cysts can recur (originally inflammatory lesions, surgery is also trauma, and may also cause adhesive cysts).

Landlord's information

It is best to do a small operation (interventional), peel and stage, do anti-inflammatory treatment after operation and follow up to verify whether it is relieved. But there is still the possibility of recurrence in the future. As long as there are no obvious clinical symptoms, treatment is generally not needed.
