What types of ignition systems are there?

There are three types of ignition systems: traditional ignition system, electronic ignition system and microcomputer-controlled ignition system.

Automobile electronic ignition system consists of sensor and its interface, microcomputer and actuator.

Traditional ignition system

The traditional ignition system is mainly composed of power supply (battery and generator), ignition switch, ignition coil, capacitor, circuit breaker, distributor, spark plug, damping resistor and high voltage conductor. Switches are used to control the opening and closing of instrument circuit, primary circuit of ignition system and starter relay circuit.

Electronic ignition system

The most basic function of electronic control ignition system (ES A) is to control the ignition in advance. According to the signals of relevant sensors, the system judges the working conditions and conditions of the engine, and selects the most ideal ignition advance angle to ignite the mixture, thus improving the combustion process of the engine, and achieving the purposes of improving the engine power, economy and reducing emission pollution.

Microcomputer controlled ignition system

The microcomputer system detects the speed and load of the engine through sensors, so as to consult the best control parameters stored in the memory, thus obtaining the best ignition advance angle and the best closing angle of the primary circuit of the ignition coil under this working condition, and achieving the control purpose by controlling the on-off time of the triode.
