The largest waterfall in the world

It is the Angel Falls.

Angel Falls, also known as Churon Meru Falls. Falls on the Churon River, a tributary of the Caroni River in the Guiana Highlands, Bolivar State, Venezuela. With a drop of 979 meters (3,212 feet), it is the world's first waterfall with the largest drop. The base is 150 meters (492 feet) wide. The falls are hidden by dense forests and are best viewed from the air.

The waterfall is divided into two stages, first cascading 807 meters to a rock shelf, then dropping 172 meters to a large 152-meter-wide pool at the base of the mountain. The rainforest in this area is so dense that it is impossible to reach the base of the falls on foot. During the rainy season, when the river becomes deeper due to heavy rains, one can access it by boat. During the rest of the year, the falls can only be viewed from the air.
