How to hatch chickens at home

The steps of incubating chickens at home are as follows:

Tools: cartons or wooden cases, cotton, hay, eggs.

1. Prepare 1 cartons or wooden cases, paste the bottom and four walls with paper, and then spread a layer of padding with a thickness of half an inch, such as cotton and hay.

2. Put the eggs layer by layer (no more than 3 layers) into the box, put the 1 thermometer on the top egg, and then cover the box tightly with a quilt.

3. The temperature in the control box is 38-39℃, and the eggs are turned every 6-8 hours 1 time to ensure that the eggs are heated evenly.

4. After hatching 19 days, put the egg head up and put cotton around it. The eggs are cooled 1 time every 3 hours for 1-2 minutes each time, and chicks can hatch after about 1-2 days.

Matters needing attention in incubating chickens

1. Choose eggs with normal color, intact and uniform shell thickness as the hatching objects.

2. When testing eggs by light irradiation, if it is observed that the yolk has large fluidity and there are abnormal heads and bubbles in the eggs, such eggs cannot be used for hatching.

3. The artificially hatched eggs should not be stored for more than 3 days in the environment of 10- 15℃.
