Why do you get sprayed when you wear kimono, but not JK, when both of them are Japanese?
The cognition and kimono of Japanese school uniforms have very typical national characteristics and symbolic representatives, but the current JK school uniforms do not belong to Japan, or even just a new school uniform changed to get rid of the original "military uniform" factor of the old school uniforms. This change, to a great extent, draws lessons from the experience of Ireland in Europe, the United States in America and other countries in the 1960s and 1970s in the development of school uniforms. Japan itself admits this, and some schools will also introduce the origin of their school uniforms, or the source (Japanese introduction).
As shown in the figure, it is taken from an Irish street video in the 1970s:
Note: After the first girls' school appeared in Japan in the early 20th century, English skirts were mostly used as school uniforms. Later, in the war of aggression against China, the Japanese navy uniform, which originated from the British sailor suit, was changed into a women's uniform and further turned into a skirt. Later, in the eighties and nineties, new school uniforms appeared by drawing lessons from European and American school uniforms.
Secondly, the main reason why kimono is offensive lies in its symbolism, which involves various actions (such as immigration) during Japan's invasion of China. It represents that any place where kimono haunts during the war of aggression against China has become an occupied area. Therefore, this kind of clothing is very exciting for China and even any occupied country, and it is difficult to change with time.
In fact, it is not difficult to find that South Korea and many Southeast Asian countries rarely see their nationals walking in the streets in kimonos, and it is easier to see them only in China. On the contrary, it shows that there is something wrong with China's new generation's lack of in-depth understanding and memory of history.
