Carry forward Chinese traditional virtues and cultivate good moral habits

First, understand the traditional virtues. Virtue refers to noble moral behavior and excellent moral quality. Virtue is based on culture. China's traditional virtues can be traced back to the contention of a hundred schools of thought in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, followed by a feudal society that lasted for two thousand years, among which Confucianism, Taoism and Taoism were the norms of the whole feudal society. China ancient Confucianism put forward four virtues: filial piety, filial piety, loyalty and faithfulness. In socialist society, the five loves of loving the motherland, people, labor, science and socialism are the basic virtues that every citizen should possess, and at the same time, they affirm the traditional virtues of hardworking, brave, diligent and thrifty, honest and devoted to public service. These virtues played a great role in the traditional society, because the feudal society was based on agricultural civilization, democracy and the rule of law were not perfect, and virtues played a role in stabilizing society and controlling people's behavior by public opinion. Confucianism is the main traditional virtue, but before the early Confucianism, the nobles and freemen in ancient society accepted the traditional Liu De (wisdom, faith, holiness, benevolence, righteousness and loyalty), six lines (filial piety, friendship, marriage, agreement and sadness) and six arts (ceremony, music, shooting, royal and calligraphy) through "teacher" and "Confucianism". Liu De is the core of traditional virtue: wisdom refers to analysis and judgment, and knowing how to distinguish right from wrong is also a virtue. A person who doesn't know whether right or wrong is the same is not a virtuous person at all; Faith refers to honesty and keeping promises. Honesty is an important quality in interpersonal communication, and its importance can also be seen from a large number of idioms and stories about "faith". It must be virtue for a saint to understand things, think, understand and learn like a saint; Benevolence means that people love each other, and they should have the virtue of being able to dissolve the pollution of all things, nurture all things, and support the spirits of all things like Middle Earth. Justice refers to what is just, reasonable and should be done. Justice is a virtue that deals with the value of things. Loyalty, selflessness and dedication, in feudal society, also refer to loyalty to the king. These core ideas are embodied in the classic virtue story handed down from generation to generation, and they are all stories that we are familiar with since childhood: Kong Rong let the pear, A guess broke the arrow, re-examined the special, the pear was ownerless, Cheng Gui jade belt, Han Xin begged, Guo Ju buried the child, and Taoyuan became sworn. ...

Looking back, in the process of development, our nation has created splendid culture and formed many virtues with its clever mind and hardworking hands. No matter lightning, wind and frost, rainstorm, our traditional virtues have never been polluted. China has always been called "the state of etiquette". Love the motherland, love the mountains, water, grass and trees of the motherland. "Mountaineering is affectionate and watching the sea is intentional"; Lu You, who is always concerned about the fate of the motherland, is too humble to forget about his country, and Lin Zexu, who is struggling for the life and death of the country, why not avoid every cloud has a silver lining? How many patriots are reflected in every childlike heart!

Chinese civilization can last for thousands of years without interruption because our people know that "genius lies in accumulation and cleverness lies in diligence".

Understanding a gentleman's personality, appreciating the true meaning of life, respecting the old and loving the young, being kind and upright, uniting and helping each other, respecting teachers and teaching, and being sincere to others are the wisdom and wealth that the Chinese nation has dedicated to mankind.
