What are the early manifestations of lung cancer?
Attention should be paid to five early signs of lung cancer.
1, hoarse
This is the most important early feature of lung cancer and a new discovery explored by experts at home and abroad in recent years. Laryngitis, colds and acute bronchitis can cause hoarseness; Thyroid surgery, after pharyngeal surgery; It can also occur after improper vocalization, excessive speech or even heavy smoking and drinking. But this kind of hoarseness can generally be cured by symptomatic treatment or rest. The hoarseness caused by lung cancer, thyroid cancer and laryngeal cancer is absolutely different from the above hoarseness, especially the hoarseness caused by lung cancer.
Other early symptoms of lung pain, such as cough, chest pain and hemoptysis, lack characteristics, while hoarseness has certain specificity. According to statistics, about 20%-30% of lung cancer patients may have hoarseness at different stages of the disease, including the early stage, among which central lung cancer can reach as high as 40%. The pathology of hoarseness caused by lung cancer is that cancer invades and compresses the nerves that control the vocal cords. This kind of hoarseness often occurs suddenly, progresses rapidly, and even completely loses its voice. At the same time, most patients have chest pain, which has no effect after more than two weeks of rest and anti-inflammatory symptomatic treatment.
2. Have a fever
Central lung cancer grows in the bronchus, and when the lumen is semi-blocked or completely blocked, it can produce obstructive pneumonia. Fever is generally around 38℃, and it is easy to reduce fever after anti-inflammatory treatment. However, if the obstructive lesions are not removed, pneumonia will soon reappear and form repeated pneumonia.
3, asymptomatic
About13 of lung cancer patients have no obvious early symptoms, and their lesions can only be found early through regular examination.
4, coughing up blood
This is special in early lung cancer cases, such as central lung cancer. Hemoptysis often occurs in the early and middle stages of the course of the disease, with little blood, bright red or mixed with foam. The reason for this phenomenon is that the tumor surface is rich in blood vessels. Cough damages the surface and causes blood vessels to rupture. If you cough up more blood occasionally, it often appears repeatedly or only lasts for a long time.
Step 5 cough
Lung cancer has different symptoms because of its location and functional damage. Because most tumors grow on the big bronchus, which is highly irritating, it is easy to cough. But the degree of cough is different, about 50% patients have irritating choking cough, no sputum or a little white foam sputum. After secondary infection, the quality of sputum also changes. Patients with chronic cough should be vigilant if they find that the cough is different from usual. Patients with high-risk age should see a doctor as soon as possible when their cough is ineffective or lasts for a long time after treatment. Patients with hemoptysis should be diagnosed early.
