Do you know that there is a temple in Beijing that combines Buddhism and Taoism? It has the largest stone Buddha head in Beijing.

Cishan Temple is located on Tiantai Mountain in the northeast of Tanyu Village, Shijingshan District, Beijing. In summer, I went to Shang Huashi in the mid-levels to have a look. Unfortunately, the door was closed. I didn't know Tsz Shan Monastery was open until yesterday, and I can't wait to see it today!

Tsz Shan Monastery is a temple integrating Buddhism, Taoism and folk gods. In the early years of the Republic of China, Mr. Zhang Henshui's Travels in Beijing said, "After entering the mountain gate, there are seven small temples, No.7, which were built when Qianlong visited the temple, arranged in the direction of the Big Dipper"!

During the "Cultural Revolution", most buildings were vandalized, and the buildings we see now are basically rebuilt!

Not far from the temple, there is a built wooden plank road on the right side of the road!

Walking on the plank road, there is a Tibetan stupa, about 10 meters high, which is said to be the Devil's Pot Pagoda!

On March 15 every year, when the demon king and monks become monks, Tsz Shan Monastery will be open for three days, which is known as a temple with strong incense in the west of Beijing!

The Buddha's head of Cishan Temple is the largest stone carving Buddha's head in Beijing, with a height of 4 meters and a width of 3.5 meters, and the thickness of the Buddha's lips is only half a meter. It's carved from a 10,000-Jin Qing stone carving exposed from the mountain!

Speaking of Buddha heads, I have to mention what I saw today. When I visited the temple, I heard the horn shout at least dozens of times. Please don't climb Buddha's head. Please respect Buddhist culture. The voice of the staff changed from helplessness to anger. I really can't understand climbing the Buddha's head!

There are only 17 of the 18 Luohan reliefs on Luohan Cliff, and their shapes are vivid!

I specially checked the relevant information and didn't see a suitable explanation. The so-called all living beings are Buddhas, and the arhat who lacks one is the viewer himself!

Along the path, there are many stone carvings, among which the one left by General Feng Yuxiang is the most striking.

General Feng Yuxiang went to Tsz Shan Monastery, Taishan in May 2002191June 7 1925+05438+07 to live in seclusion!

The stone carvings are engraved on the Dongshan slope outside the mountain gate and the Beishan slope behind the temple.

Go up the path to the Jade Emperor Hall and the Apocalypse Hall, which are still under construction, and pass the mountain temple along the way!

Down the hill along the path, the small courtyard named "Spiritual World" in front of the Buddhist Scripture Building is the former residence of General Feng Yuxiang, and it has now been turned into a patriotic education base "General Feng Yuxiang's deeds showroom".

There are hundreds of relics and old photos (including replicas) such as bedding, tables and chairs, inkstones, stone mills, handwritten wills, general uniforms used by General Feng Yuxiang!

The Fudi Temple has two floors, the upper floor overlooks the temple scenery, and the Fudi Temple is also called the "Ancient Buddha Building"!

During the reign of Kangxi, a crazy monk came to Tiantai Mountain to practice, and the result was a positive result. The court gave the mad monk the title of "Demon Monk"!

According to legend, the emperor shunzhi became a monk here, because the body of the mad monk is very similar to Shunzhi, the ancestor of the Qing Dynasty, so the legend of "Shunzhi becoming a monk" was derived from the people!

Some experts and scholars believe that Shunzhi's becoming a monk here is not groundless. The Great Hall of Compassion is the main hall, topped by brick carvings of dragons and phoenixes, with dragon balls on the front and double phoenix peonies on the back. This was the royal rule at that time!

The stone tablet embedded in the west side of the main hall is seven years old and has no name engraved. Many names are mentioned in this inscription. The first is the famous Fu Kang 'an, the company commanders of Hua Kai Town and Yichang, and the Hangzhou general Borzijit Sabin.

There are many ancient trees in the temple. In Cishan Temple, there are three catalpa bungeana trees over 400 years old, which are located in the temple, on the eastern slope of Taoism. In ancient times, people called Catalpa bungeana "safety tree"!

Every year around March 15th of the lunar calendar, when Catalpa bungeana blooms, pink and purple flowers are covered with branches, and bursts of fragrance overflow the temple.

Pilgrims will pray under the tree, pick up the fallen petals and take the incense home.

It is said that there are three or four springs in Cishan Temple. I only saw the monk spring and the holy water spring for monks to bathe on this trip!

The cover of the monk spring can be opened and you can see the clear water. There are plants growing at the wellhead!

It is said that when the emperor shunzhi became a monk here, he loved to use this spring to make tea. This spring is the best in Xishan, so it is named "Shengshui Spring"!

It's about a mile from the gate of Cishan Temple to the main temple. It's quite quiet. Although today is the weekend, there are few tourists.

There are many Buddha statues in the temple. From south to north, Guanyin Pavilion, Lingguan Hall, Grandma Wang San Hall, Maitreya Hall, Niangniang Hall, Fire Temple, Longwang Temple, Lvzu Hall and Mawang Hall are in front of the main temple. I won't go into details one by one!

Tickets for the 8 yuan of Cishan Temple are half price for the elderly and children under 65, and free for soldiers and the elderly, and no parking fee is charged!

I am March, recording my footsteps with video and words. The pictures are all taken by mobile phones for reference only. Thank you for your support and watching! # Share a new life #
