On the second day of the second year, the son-in-law paid a New Year call to his grandmother. On the third day, the son-in-law paid a New Year call to his mother-in-law; On the fourth day, the unmarried but engaged daughter-in-law pays a New Year call to her future in-laws. On the fifth day, she began to walk around with her aunts and cousins.

Bringing gifts to relatives is called "weaving baskets" in Qingdao dialect, because relatives used to use bamboo baskets made of thin bamboo strips and brushed with clear oil. There is no particular stress on what to put. Put whatever you have at home. One or two bottles of Jimo wine, two Baoqing biscuits and a few apples are enough. Relatives will take out one or two things, and then press them back to change them, so as not to let them go back empty.
