How many years is the right to use rural land?

Legal analysis: the term of use of rural cultivated land is 30 years. In order to promote the effective circulation of rural land, rural land is currently implementing the strategy of separation of three powers, separating the ownership, use and management of land. Land can be freely transferred, and ordinary farmers have the right to use land, which can be transferred to large agricultural households and enjoy the right to operate land. The term of rural land use right shall be subject to the rural land contract. At present, the rural land is divided into three rights, and the ownership, use and management rights of the land are separated. The cultivated land will last for 30 years, the grassland and woodland will last for 30 to 50 years and 30 to 70 years respectively, and will be extended accordingly after the expiration. The contracted period of cultivated land is thirty years. Grassland contract period is 30 to 50 years. The forest land contract period is 30 to 70 years. The contracted period of cultivated land stipulated in the preceding paragraph shall be extended for another 30 years, and the contracted period of grassland and forest land shall be extended accordingly in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph.

Legal basis: Article 21 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Rural Land Contract Law has a contract period of 30 years. Grassland contract period is 30 to 50 years. The forest land contract period is 30 to 70 years. The contracted period of cultivated land stipulated in the preceding paragraph shall be extended for another 30 years, and the contracted period of grassland and forest land shall be extended accordingly in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
