Traditional ancient villages in Fujian, China

The city scenery is beautiful and colorful, but without the seasoning of natural scenery, it lacks some flavor of life. If you stay away from nature for a long time, people's hearts will become more or less impetuous. Therefore, during the holidays, I often hang out with my friends in beautiful villages all over the country to see the idyllic scenery that makes people feel calm, comfortable and carefree, which is completely different from the bustling city.

This time, our destination is Houlong Village, Yunlong Township, Minqing County, Fujian Province. It is said to be the most beautiful village in Fujian, surrounded by mountains, with flowing water and fresh air, which seems to purify the lungs. Overlooking the mountains, it is full of vitality; Close to the village, it smells like fireworks.

Entering from the entrance of the village and walking along a path by the stream, you can see a large farm-style field around you. There are all kinds of vegetables and fruits in the field, such as taro, eggplant, cauliflower, cabbage, rape and so on. , rich in variety, ubiquitous. These are all cultivated by local residents themselves, so they are more life-oriented and simple in the village.

The ancient houses in Houlong Village are not far from the entrance of the village, and it takes ten minutes to walk. In fact, as long as you look up from the vegetable field, you can see the buildings with white walls and gray tiles in the mountains. Although these buildings are not distributed side by side as in the city, they are also close together, just like the harmonious and friendly neighbors of local residents. It is understood that the relationship between ancient residential groups themselves is also very close.

As we all know, Fujian ancestral temple has a long history and culture, and it is also vividly reflected in Houlong Village. The houses of Houlong Village ancient residential group are distributed on both sides according to clan, basically with blue tiles and white eaves, and some eaves were painted a hundred years ago. Just because they have been beaten by the wind and rain for many years, they are now damaged and their style is no longer there.

In the middle of the houses on both sides is the ancestral hall of each household. The bricks, tiles, trees and stones of the ancestral hall have left traces of history. Time has not damaged the internal building wood and exquisite carvings. Looking back, it is still solemn. It can be seen that the local residents have protected this place very well and still retain such traditional culture.

It is precisely because of the close clan relationship that every household is not necessarily a simple neighbor. If you want to visit a relative's house, it will only take a few minutes. This is completely different from the unique interpersonal relationship in the city that does not disturb each other or is far apart. Here, every family is like a family, and it is often seen that residents help each other, get together to talk and live in harmony, which is no different from the happiness described in the Peach Blossom Garden.

After enjoying the ancient houses, we still wandered around Houlong Village for an afternoon and experienced a wonderful pastoral time of "traffic in front of the building, chickens and dogs hearing each other". We not only saw cotton, peach blossoms, loquat trees, passion fruit trees, strawberry fields, tomato fields and other scenery along the way, but also accidentally found a huge cactus, which surprised us.

In addition, because the land in Houlong Village is really flat and spacious, there are also children chasing kites, and their mood seems to be exaggerated, which is also hilarious. If a friend wants to slow down the pace of life, then welcome to Houlong Village to experience a different scene. I believe it will also bring you joy.
