Why is it necessary to inherit and promote traditional Chinese culture?

The inheritance of outstanding traditional culture is an urgent need to meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the people. To promote the construction of "cultural China", we need to pay more attention to China's outstanding traditional culture. Traditional culture can enrich people's spiritual world, improve comprehensive quality, promote social stability and form a good social atmosphere. At the same time, the traditional culture of contemporary society and political and economic integration, and the development of science and technology is closely linked to the economic and social development to play a great role in promoting the development of the economy and society. It can be said that traditional Chinese culture, which has a long history, is a bond of national unity. Under the current historical conditions, the promotion and inheritance of China's outstanding traditional culture is an important part of "Cultural China". Whether a nation is strong or not is an important symbol of the depth of national culture, excellent traditional culture is the blood and soul of a nation. Contemporary Chinese culture between the existence of the phenomenon of fragmentation, inheritance and promotion of a single way at present, the global economy, cultural integration and development, the influence of foreign cultures has penetrated into all aspects of people's lives, which has formed a strong impact on China's traditional culture. Especially in some youth groups, there is a blind pursuit of Western culture, the phenomenon of contempt for national culture. This is manifested in the following ways: First, the disappearance of national culture is accelerating. The advancement of modernization has brought some pressure on the inheritance of China's outstanding traditional culture. According to a survey, in 1999, there were nearly 380 types of ethnic theater in China, while in 2013, only 286 types were left. Secondly, there is a bias in the cognition of excellent traditional culture. At present, some people hold a negative attitude towards our traditional culture, especially since the "New Culture Movement", which attributes the reason for China's backwardness in modern times to traditional culture. This has led to a gradual loss of cultural awe among the general public, which has also led to a collective regression in the cultural literacy of the whole society and a weakening of the sense of cherishing traditional culture. Thirdly, traditional culture has not been organically integrated with contemporary culture. All along, we have not clearly defined the scope of traditional culture, the connotation of traditional culture is not clear enough, and there is no clear definition of what is "excellent" traditional culture and what is "bad" culture. At the same time, there is not enough interpretation of the significance of traditional culture.
