Has the History of Qing Dynasty been published?

(Reporter Zhu Xia)165438+1On October 29th, the signing ceremony for the publication of the national symbolic public welfare cultural project "Qing History" was held in Beijing. Wu, deputy director of the General Administration of Press and Publication, and Dai Yi, director of the National Compilation Committee of Qing History, attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches. Bu Jian, director of the Office of the National Leading Group for the Compilation of Qing History, and Huang Shuyuan, president of People's Publishing House, respectively signed the publishing agreement of Qing History on behalf of both parties.

Wu in his speech

The People's Publishing House is required to take practical measures, organize elite soldiers, conscientiously do a good job in the publication of Qing history, ensure that the quality of editing and proofreading is worthy of this major national publishing project, and strive to make Qing history a masterpiece that can be established, retained and spread far. He pointed out that it is an important task for the publishing industry to implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Seventeenth Central Committee, an important aspect of building a cultural power, an important duty to enhance the country's cultural soft power, and an important foundation for the survival and development of publishing houses. He hopes that the People's Publishing House will further enhance its understanding of the significance of fine publishing, produce more fine masterpieces worthy of history, the times and the people, promote the great development and prosperity of culture, and meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the people.

In his speech, Mr. Dai Yi fully affirmed the historical position and great influence of People's Publishing House in the publishing industry, and believed that People's Publishing House had the ability to publish this major national project. Huang Shuyuan, president of People's Publishing House, thanked Mr. Dai Yi and the Qing History Office for their love and trust in People's Publishing House. He will organize the whole society to make Qing History into a masterpiece that matches the major national publishing projects in accordance with the spirit of Deputy Director Wu's speech and the requirements of making excellent works.

It is understood that the compilation and publication of Qing history is a major national project approved by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and it is also a national symbolic public welfare cultural project in 2 1 century. After nearly 10 years of painstaking research, compilation and revision by many experts, the first draft of 100 volume, which fully reflects the academic level of contemporary China, is about to be completed. People's Publishing House is the most important public welfare publishing cultural unit of the party and the country, and it is also an important academic publishing town in China, which undertakes the heavy responsibility of publishing public welfare cultural products for the party and the country. In accordance with the spirit that the national public welfare backbone units undertake major national public welfare projects, the National Office of Qing History decided to submit Qing History to the People's Publishing House for publication. This is also an important measure for the two units to implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Seventeenth Central Committee and build a socialist cultural power.

It is reported that "Twenty-four History" ends in "Ming History" and does not include the history of the Qing Dynasty. The Beiyang government once opened the Qing History Museum in 19 14 to compile the Qing history. However, due to frequent wars, financial constraints and regime change, it was hastily completed without a formal book, so it was named "Draft of Qing History". In August 2002, after careful study, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council decided to re-compile the history of the Qing Dynasty. The re-compilation and publication of the draft of the history of the Qing Dynasty has continued the fine tradition of "taking history as history" since ancient times, which not only helps people to fully understand the long history and splendid culture of the Chinese nation and learn from history, but also helps to strengthen the construction of advanced socialist culture, enhance national cohesion and better promote reform, opening up and socialist modernization.
