What are the characteristics of Hainan's Red Coral Qiong Opera?
Based on the popular Yiyang Opera in Hainan, it is a local Yiyang Opera gradually formed by absorbing Minnan Opera, Huizhou Opera, Kunqiang Opera, Chaozhou Opera, Andrew, Bai Zixi and Guangdong Bangzi, as well as Hainan folk songs, songs and dances, puppet shows and Taoist music. Known as the "red coral of the South China Sea".
Qiong Opera has a long history and is a local opera popular in Hainan Province, Leizhou, Gaozhou, Hepu and other places. On the basis of Minnan Chaozhou Opera and Liyuan Opera, it developed by absorbing the ballads of the local people.
Qiongju opera is sung in Hainan dialect, commonly known as "local opera" in Qing Dynasty, "Zhai" in Qiongshan and Haikou, and "Hainan opera" in late Qing Dynasty. Because it was formed in Qiongshan, where Qiongzhou was located in ancient times, it was called "Qiongzhou Opera" and "Qiongyin".
