What are the six views and eight practices of Hetian jade?

This is the traditional saying of the older generation of Hetian jade people, but now there is not so much stress.

Six look: look at the skin, look at the color, look at the oil, look at the glutinous rice, look at the sculpture, and look at the shape.

Eight nurtures: nourishing the skin, nourishing the quality, nourishing the device, nourishing the body, nourishing the heart, nourishing the words, nourishing the behavior and cultivating the morality.

Because there is a tradition in China that gentlemen compete with jade, Hetian jade's tradition is always closely related to people's moral cultivation.
