What is Sanshou?
That is to say, it has been developed for more than 20 years on the basis of kicking, hitting, throwing and taking (Sanshou is not allowed to be used), which proves that the boxing of Sanshou at this stage is both ornamental and practical compared with any international fighting sport. Followed by the leg method and kicking skills. Sanshou wrestling originated from Chinese wrestling, which is the only feature that distinguishes Sanshou from any other fighting sport in the world.
Sanshou is the proper name of Wushu routine;
Wushu routines have formed a complete practice system from single event, combination, segmentation, complete set to Sanshou. Wushu Sanshou is a form of movement that separates the movements connected in the routine, adopts key movements with offensive and defensive meanings, and masters and apprentices fight each other according to the technical style and requirements of the genre, so as to realize and show the significance of action attack and drill skills.
Wushu Sanshou Name:
It has a long history, and there is a record of "animals contending for each other and leaving each other" in No.1 1304 of the bamboo slips of Juyan Han Dynasty. However, the use of this name in the shadow martial arts unarmed confrontation project should have played an important role in the "martial arts examination" held by the Central Martial Arts School before liberation.
"Martial Arts Examination" initiated the competition of Wushu in competitive sports in China, in which Sanshou was set up. From 1929 to 1933, there were three Sanshou competitions in Hangzhou. Because the contents of the rules of each competition are different, it leads to the ending of "bullfighting", "cockfighting" and "desperate competition".
The Wushu textbook published by National Institute of Physical Education 1978 contains the introduction of Sanshou technique. 1979 the name "Sanshou" is used in the experimental research of Wushu confrontation events.
1979 In May, at the Wushu observation and exchange meeting held in Nanning, Guangxi, three pilot units performed Tai Chi pushing hands, Sanshou and short soldiers. At that time, newspapers broadcast reports about Sanshou, and the name of Wushu Sanda began to appear. At that time, the reporter's reporting language promoted the spread of the name "Wushu Sanda".
Wushu Sanda is a sport in which two people demonstrate their fighting ability through actual combat by using the techniques of kicking, hitting and throwing in Wushu according to the requirements of competition rules. The concepts of Sanda and Sanshou are completely different in content, nature and expression. The word "San" in Sanda indicates the nature and use of Sanshou, and the word "Da" plays a role in reflecting the essential attributes of things in the concept of Sanda name.
