How to restore the initial settings of MSOffice Word and Excel (default interface)

Methods/steps

1. Click the "Start" menu, open "My Computer", enter "Drive C" in "My Computer", and then enter the "Documents and Settings" directory.

2. Enter the "Documents and Settings" directory and click "Search" at the top. Enter the file "Normal.dot" in the search box under "All or part of the file name". Then click search.

3. Right-click each file in the search results-> open folder (the shortcut has a small arrow).

4. After entering the target folder of the searched shortcut, select Delete All to delete all files in this folder!

This will clear all files in the target file directory of each shortcut.

5. After clearing the shortcuts of files and target files, a new word document or excel will be created. Has it recovered?

6. If it still doesn't work, you can try the command provided by Microsoft: enter winword /all, so that the open word editor is also the default way to edit documents! I wish you success.
