Fuding City is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Ningde City in Fujian Province. Fuding is located in the northeastern part of Fujian Province, between latitude 26°52′-27°26′ north and longitude 119°55′-120°43′ east. It is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province, administratively subordinate to Ningde City. It is known as the gateway to Fujian and Zhejiang, and the key to Wuyue.

Fuding Shacheng Tiezhi is a Han Chinese folklore activity in Fuding City, Fujian Province. Iron sticks were introduced to the coastal areas of eastern Fujian from the area around Quanzhou, Fujian Province around the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, and were popular in Fuding, Jiaocheng, Fu'an, Xiapu, Shouning and other counties (cities and districts). The East Fujian and Shacheng Tiezhi has high technology, powerful lineups and spectacular scenes. It absorbed the essence of Han folk literature, traditional theater, dance acrobatics and other artistic disciplines, forming a unique Han folk performing arts, and became one of the influential Han folk festivals and activities in eastern Fujian.

According to the genealogy of the Liu Clan in Shacheng, the ancestors of the Liu Clan migrated from Yongchun, Quanzhou, to Shaguan, Shacheng, and other places in the eleventh year of the Qianlong reign (1746). They followed the customs of their ancestors and generally held the iron stick moving on festivals, celebrations, God's birthdays, and temple fairs, and this traditional festival was held from the 13th to the 15th of the first month of every year.
