But again, the experience of fast AMT is still lacking, and the technology and hardware may catch up, but the soft power is still not enough for the first-tier brands in Europe and America.

Jiefang, as the big brother of commercial vehicles in China, naturally did not leave behind the research on AMT, similar to China Heavy Duty Truck and Fast. It also cooperates with Bosch, an excellent international electrical supplier. The shift actuating mechanism of liberating AMT is a product of Bosch, and it is a rare pure electric control, that is, the gear selection and shift structure are all executed by motor. Theoretically speaking, the execution speed of liberating AMT is faster than the pneumatic control of heavy trucks.
However, this design also brings many disadvantages, such as difficult maintenance and high cost. In addition, the small market share and low market recognition of the liberated AMT are also related to the liberation promotion strategy. Before the AMT market is mature, liberation may not start rashly and become a crab eater.
At present, there are J6, J7, JH6, Hanv and other autonomous AMT models assembled. Dongfeng provides gearbox hardware, and Knohl is responsible for gear shifting mechanism and software system. The early Dongfeng AMT had no sound in the market, and even just stayed in the stage of technical verification and loading test.
In recent years, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle took the opportunity of cooperating with Volvo, an international commercial vehicle giant, to develop the latest DA 14 series AMT, which is called Dongfeng independent AMT with Volvo technology. But so far, this gearbox has not formed sales volume, and it is only put into small batches, and the quantity may not be as good as that liberated by AMT.
