Dance characteristics of tango
The accompaniment music of tango dance is 2/4 beat, but the staccato performance is very strong, so in actual performance, each quarter note becomes two eighth notes, so there are four eighth notes in each bar. Tango is one of the official events in the international standard dance competition. When dancing the tango, the posture of the male and female combination is slightly different from other modern dances, which is called "tango positioning". The two sides are closer together, the male right arm and the female left arm should be more inward, the bodies should touch each other, and the center of gravity should be shifted. Men mainly have their right feet, while women have their left feet. Men and women don't look at each other, and both men and women look to their left when positioning. Tango music has a distinct rhythm and distinctive syncopation is its distinctive feature. The dance steps are gorgeous, elegant, passionate and changeable, and the crossing, kicking, jumping and spinning are dazzling. Singers are sometimes passionate, sometimes crying, or cynical, or sad. A lot of street slang is used in the lyrics. When dancing, men wear bow ties and dark evening dresses, while women wear long skirts with high slits.
