The appellation of ancient ethnic minorities
Xiongnu was a nomadic people in northern China in ancient times, and there was no writing. When the old man was Khan, Xiongnu forces reached Liaohe River in the east, lush mountains in the west, Lake Baikal in the north and the Great Wall in the south, becoming the first grassland nomadic empire in history.
It can be considered that the Northern Emperor is the most serious border disaster in China for more than 2,000 years. The land occupied by the Northern Emperor is now Mongolia, Ningxia, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang and other provinces and regions.
Huyuan was a self-proclaimed nomadic people in the North during the Qin and Han Dynasties. After the Xiongnu became strong, Hu replaced the name of the Northern Emperor, and Hu people became the popular appellation of the northern minorities.
