Traditional festivals in Indonesia

On the day of the festival, the Indonesian people will focus on promoting activities about education and how to make the country more prosperous scientifically. At the same time, they will also publicize local cultural enlightenment and heritage. The local government attaches great importance to this festival, because its existence is not only an ordinary day, but also its significance lies in that it contains the awakening of the Indonesian nation to the future development.

1908 On May 20th, the first Indonesian national organization "Zhi Zhi Club" (also translated as "Shan Zhi Club") was established in Jakarta. Later, the Indonesian government designated the founding day of "Chongzhi Club" as a national holiday. Although Indonesia seems to be a backward country, they also attach great importance to education. They always have a positive attitude towards the future, and their educational methods are passed down from generation to generation. So their thoughts are still conservative, so they still have strange cultural activities and customs.

In the history of Indonesian modern national independence movement, the Shan Zhi Institution is regarded as the first nationalist organization. It is the first time to put forward the importance of strengthening Indonesian national dignity. However, some Indonesian historical papers have commented on too many historical functions. Some people say that a good club "is an undeniable symbol of resistance to the Netherlands and the first pillar of the Indonesian independence movement". Some people say that a good society "can actually unite the entire Indonesian people against colonialism. Some people say that a good club "Indonesian national unity" has planted seeds.

Under the influence of the national enlightenment, educated intellectuals in the west advocated the establishment of education to revitalize national culture. This festival was organized by a retired Javanese doctor named Husodo, who founded "Perfect Society" in Jakarta Medical College on May 20th. 1908. This is a cultural and educational organization, which aims at restoring the traditional Javanese culture of Javanese and Madura people, promoting the development of education, agriculture, industry and commerce, with special emphasis on safeguarding human dignity.
