Lecture 10: What are your favorite Beijing Opera tunes? Tell me why there are no mission details.
Most of Beijing opera qupai originated from Kunqu opera, and some of them absorbed and borrowed from local operas and folk music, and gradually formed qupai music in line with Beijing opera style. I like the dead of night best, because it was originally a few musicals with lotus leaves in the Kunqu Opera "Xiang Fan". After it evolved into an instrumental tune of Peking Opera, it was first used for "pass the parcel scolds Cao" and then used by Mei Lanfang for the scene of concubine dancing sword when rehearsing Farewell My Concubine.
