Agricultural ecosystem of Hani folk village in Qingkou, Yuanyang
After thousands of years of development and cultivation, the Hani folk village in Qingkou, Yuanyang has formed a benign circular agricultural ecosystem with four isomorphic elements of "forest-water system-terrace-village", showing a fairyland on earth with "valleys like jade belts and terraces like ladders", which contains a high degree of harmony between man and nature. It is a model of Hani traditional living environment and farming culture, a masterpiece of human terraced field culture and a miracle in the history of world farming. According to paragraph 77 of the Guidelines for the Implementation of the World Heritage Convention, among the six criteria for applying for heritage, experts have determined that Yuanyang Hani Terrace meets four of them. In 2007, China State Forestry Administration officially approved Honghe Hani Terrace as a national wetland park, becoming the first national wetland park in Yunnan Province. In 20 10, it was rated as an agricultural cultural heritage protection unit by FAO.
