This course shows the achievements of modern research on traditional Chinese medicine, focusing on the mechanism and material basis of pharmacological action of traditional Chinese medicine. It is a basic course for Chinese medicine and its related majors.

The general introduction of this course focuses on the modern research on the property theory of traditional Chinese medicine, the factors affecting the pharmacological action of traditional Chinese medicine and other basic theoretical knowledge, and introduces the characteristics of pharmacological action of traditional Chinese medicine, the pharmacology of traditional Chinese medicine compound and the research ideas of traditional Chinese medicine pharmacology. The following contents are divided into nineteen chapters according to the traditional classification of traditional Chinese medicine. Each chapter includes three parts: overview, commonly used single traditional Chinese medicine and commonly used compound, focusing on the pharmacological effects related to the efficacy of various traditional Chinese medicines, as well as the main chemical components, pharmacological effects, modern applications and adverse reactions of commonly used single traditional Chinese medicine and commonly used compound.
