What is special education?
Special education refers to the use of general or specially designed courses, textbooks, teaching methods, teaching organization forms and teaching equipment to educate children with special needs in order to achieve general and special training goals. In other words, how to tap the potential of children with special needs is the research area of special education.
Special education is a branch of pedagogy. When many people see special education, they will think that its target is some children with physical defects. In fact, this is a very one-sided, backward and inaccurate view. With the in-depth development of educational theory and the improvement of educational literacy, people's traditional ideas about special education are changing. Broadly speaking, special education includes not only the education of children or adolescents with physical or psychological defects, but also all students with special needs. Today's world has formed a perfect special education system from preschool education to adult higher education, which embodies the development trend of lifelong education.
