History of Qingdao Changsheng Group Co.

According to Jiaoao Zhi, "In November of the sixth year of the Republic of China (1917), the Japanese competed to set up factories in Taidong, Cangkou and other places, and those with larger capitals were the internal and external cotton yarn factories ...... Sanjing Oil Factory and Donghe Oil Factory." Sanjing Oil Factory and Donghe Oil Factory is the earliest predecessor of Qingdao Changsheng Group, located in Fengtian Road (i.e. today's Liaoning Road). According to Jiaoao Zhi, the Qingdao Vegetable Oil Factory of the Qingdao Municipal Food Bureau was "large in scale and well-equipped, and was the first new oil industry in China." At the end of 2000, the former Qingdao Vegetable Oil Factory was officially renamed Qingdao Changsheng Group Co.

The main process of traditional peanut oil pressing is grinding, steaming and pressing, i.e., the raw materials used for oil pressing are ground into crushed powder and then steamed in a steamer, then poured into the press and pressed by the method of wooden wedge smashing. The old wooden oil press is very simple, mainly by hand, with poor sanitary conditions and without any oil cleaning equipment.

From the end of the nineteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth century, Liaoning (Yingkou, Dalian), Shandong (Qingdao, Zhoucun and other places) began to use advanced machine pressing process. Compared with the traditional wooden pressing process, the peanut oil produced by the pressing process marked by the use of steam engines and screw-type iron presses has the characteristics of hygiene, strong aroma, and pure oil, and at the same time is more suitable for the enhancement of the quality of peanut oil, especially the peanut oil filtration process developed later, that is to say, the professional oil-cleaning process (Changsheng peanut oil pioneered the Xuan paper filtration and the fiber filter cloth process, etc.). After more than half a century of development, the Shandong peanut oil pressing technology, represented by the Changsheng brand of thick peanut oil produced by Qingdao Vegetable Oil Factory, gradually took shape.

The pressing technology of Changsheng peanut oil has a high starting point and an early start. Its predecessor, Qingdao Vegetable Oil Factory, originated from five oil mills near Fengtian Road in Qingdao (now around Liaoning Road and Huayang Road in Shibei District, Qingdao). It can be said that the formation of the authentic Qingdao peanut oil industry originated from the continuous improvement of the machine pressing process, and there was no old-fashioned wooden pressing at all. Qingdao peanut oil has used steam engines and screw-type iron pressing technology since the early 20th century, replacing human and animal power with oil power or steam engines. Qingdao Changsheng has also gone through the historical changes of Qingdao Vegetable Oil Factory, Qingdao Vegetable Oil General Company, Changsheng Vegetable Oil Joint Stock Company and Changsheng Group Joint Stock Company.

It can be said that the modern peanut oil pressing process in China originated from Qingdao, while the peanut oil manufacturing industry in Qingdao originated from Changsheng.

In 1966, under the unremitting efforts of several generations of Changsheng people, the first bottle of China's richly flavored peanut oil was born, and has been sold well at home and abroad ever since. In the following ten years, Changsheng people made comprehensive improvements to the peanut oil pressing process and formulated an enterprise standard for thick-flavored peanut oil, which was later promulgated by the state as a national standard. Changsheng became the representative of advanced pressing technology in peanut oil industry in China and even in the world.

The sky is the limit.In 1984, Changsheng was awarded the National Quality Gold Medal; in 1988, Changsheng was awarded the National Quality Gold Medal for the second consecutive year ....... This is by far the highest honor in China's oil and fat industry.

By the 1990s, through joint ventures and cooperation, Changsheng taught its leading peanut oil pressing core technology to emerging edible oil companies, and the Changsheng peanut oil pressing process was popularized nationwide as a model. Changsheng brand also began to go to the national market, and continue to improve the quality of Changsheng oil, the first to pass the ISO9001: 2000 international quality management system certification, won the national green food certification, the Royal Certification Committee UKAS certification, the National Inspection-free products, and the first batch of the country to obtain QS food market access certification.
