How to classify cultural heritage, tangible and intangible
Cultural heritage is a precious treasure left to mankind by history. It is divided into tangible cultural heritage (tangible cultural heritage) and intangible cultural heritage (intangible cultural heritage) in terms of the form of existence.
Tangible cultural heritage is cultural relics with historical, artistic and scientific value.
The intangible cultural heritage refers to all kinds of traditional culture that exists in an intangible form, is closely related to the life of the masses and has been inherited from generation to generation.
I. Cultural Heritage
According to the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, cultural heritage includes historical relics, historical buildings, and sites of human culture.

III. Intangible Cultural Heritage
Article 2 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the People's Republic of China The intangible cultural heritage referred to in this Law refers to the traditional cultural expressions handed down from generation to generation by the people of all ethnic groups and regarded as an integral part of their cultural heritage, as well as the physical objects and places associated with the traditional cultural expressions. It includes:
(1) traditional oral literature and the language that serves as its carrier;
(2) traditional fine arts, calligraphy, music, dance, drama, opera and acrobatics;
(3) traditional skills, medicine and calendars;
(4) traditional rituals, festivals and other folklore.
Personal objects and places that are part of the intangible cultural heritage and that are cultural relics shall be subject to the relevant provisions of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics of the People's Republic of China*** and of the People's Republic of China.

In order to standardize the protection of China's intangible cultural heritage, the State Council issued a Circular on Strengthening the Protection of Cultural Heritage, and formulated the "National + Provincial + Municipal + County "**** 4-level protection system, which requires that localities and departments implement the "protection-oriented" principle. National level: National Intangible Cultural Heritage List
Provincial level: 31 provincial intangible cultural heritages such as Jiangsu Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage List, Shanxi Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage List, Anhui Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage List and Shandong Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage List;
Municipal level: Yangzhou Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage List
Municipal: 334 municipal intangible cultural heritages such as Yangzhou City Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage List, Xuzhou City Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage List, Tianjin City Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage List, etc.;
County: 2,853 county intangible cultural heritages such as Gaoyi County County Intangible Cultural Heritage List, Guangde County Intangible Cultural Heritage List, Hengnen County Intangible Cultural Heritage List, etc.
