The world's first movie special effect was an accident, Georges Méliès was filming a bus wagon when the camera got stuck. Continuing to film again a wagon carrying a coffin walked right up to where the bus wagon had just been. While watching the movie, the bus wagon turned into a coffin wagon in a surprisingly instant.
