How many days do you get off for Christmas in India

Christmas is not celebrated in India and hence there is no holiday on Christmas. There are seven traditional festivals in India as follows, which are Sankranti, Diwali, Ten Saints' Day, Brothers and Sisters' Day, India's Independence Day, Shiva, and Eid-ul-Fitr.

1, Sprinkles

Sprinkles, also known as Holi, is held in February or March every year. During the festival, groups of Hindus, singing and dancing, jumping around bonfires to celebrate the arrival of spring, and splashing each other, sprinkling red powder or red water on passers-by.

2, Diwali

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights or the Festival of Demons, is held in October or November every year, lasts for a week, and is known as India's biggest festival. In the run-up to the festival, families start sweeping and cleaning and organizing their homes; markets flourish and people buy gifts and visit each other.

The streets are crowded, often causing traffic jams as people go out to visit, and preparing new clothes for the festival is an essential part of the festivities. Diwali also involves decorating the inside and outside of houses with lights, preparing festive food, and fireworks.

3, Ten Sheng Festival

Ten Sheng Festival, also known as the Festival of Triumphs, is the largest festival of Hinduism, in September there are 15 days of ancestor worship, ancestor worship day after the 10th day of the festival that is Ten Sheng Festival, also known as the "Tenth Night Festival". The festival is derived from the Ramayana, one of the two most famous epics of India, which celebrates the 10-day battle between Rama and the devil and his eventual victory.

4, brother and sister festival

Brother and sister festival (tie the rope festival) is one of the four major festivals in India. 7, Eid

India has more than 100 million Muslim believers, Eid is naturally one of the major festivals. Eid generally lasts for three days. On the first day from dawn, families get up early, cleaning indoor and outdoor, courtyard and outside, alleyway toilet, giving people a clean, comfortable and pleasant feeling.

Adult Hui Muslims are required to wash and bathe themselves. Men, women and children change into their favorite clothes, and children wash their faces and comb their hair. Muslims gather in the mosque, before the festival should also be repaired and cleaned up.
