Winter solstice: Yumen people regard the winter solstice as a "small year" and attach great importance to it. Pay attention to eating "Wo Wo rice" on this day. Kitchen God Festival: The 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month is called "Kitchen God Festival". On this day, people will send the kitchen god to heaven and eat small dry food. In addition, they will tie the horse of the kitchen god, make sticky sugar (maltose), and sacrifice the kitchen god to the sky on this night.
New Year's Eve: On New Year's Eve, Yumen people pay attention to staying up late and eating very full, which means that only when they are full on New Year's Eve will they have plenty of food and clothing in the coming year. The local custom is to eat long noodles. On this night, people should do several important things for the arrival of the Spring Festival: first, put couplets and New Year pictures on the door (formerly known as "door gods"); Second, after cleaning the inside and outside, there will be some local sacrificial activities with strong customs.
Don't go out on New Year's Day: According to local customs, people generally don't go out on New Year's Day, mainly for family reunion, talking about the past, the present and family affairs. On the second day of the second year, I began to walk around and pay New Year greetings to each other.
Lantern Festival on the fifteenth day of the first month: The fifteenth day of the first month is also called Lantern Festival, which was called Shangyuan Festival in ancient times. The custom of Lantern Festival is to eat glutinous rice balls and watch lanterns.

"June 6th" Sand Bath Festival: On the sixth day of the sixth lunar month, Liuheguan Zhuangzi is surrounded by green trees on three sides and a magical desert in the middle. People around Yumen come here to join in the fun and treat all kinds of rheumatism by sunbathing. It is said that on June 6th, drug lords scattered drugs in the black sand nest, so the black sand nest turned black. Every year in June of the lunar calendar, people lie in the sand in the sun, which also has the effect of healing and treating diseases, and is very effective in treating arthritis and other diseases. There are also folk sand bath cultural activities in the local area, such as drinking authentic local chicken soup, eating all kinds of local snacks and listening to Shaanxi opera, which makes the usually empty black shawo become a sea of people.
Mid-Autumn Festival: Yumen people also have the custom of offering sacrifices to the moon in the Mid-Autumn Festival. The family get together to catch up, eat moon cakes and eat Guo Kui.
Traditional social fire: stilts, lions, dry boats, oriental cars, waist drums, yangko, jumping on the ground, running donkeys and so on. In addition to the above forms, Yumen also has popular traditional social fires, such as overlord whip, big-headed doll, iron core, Taiping drum, pig eight quit carrying his wife, two ghosts wrestling, playing lanterns and so on.
