What are the phonemes in English phonetics?
Phonetic symbols are symbols for recording phonemes and writing phonemes. Its principle is that a phoneme is represented by only one phonetic symbol, and a phonetic symbol only represents one phoneme.
English is a phonetic symbol, and letters indicate pronunciation. However, English has more than 40 pronunciations, but only 26 letters. In order to recognize pronunciation accurately, phonetic symbols are introduced, which are called phonetic symbols. There are two kinds of English international phonetic symbols: British phonetic symbols (DJ phonetic symbols) and American phonetic symbols (K.K. phonetic symbols).

There are two very important phonemes in English pronunciation, which may affect students' lifelong learning. As we all know, there are 48 international phonetic symbols in English, which are also used in English teaching in primary and secondary schools. Among these 48 phonetic symbols, two phonemes are very important.
English phonetic symbols are constantly improving. Modern linguists believe that /tr/, /dr/, /ts/ and /dz/ in the original DJ phonetic symbols are consonant conjunctions, not independent phonemes. Therefore, unvoiced consonants /tr/, /ts/ and their corresponding voiced consonants /dr/ have been deleted from the phonetic symbols of BBC English website. So just like the consonants of the American phonetic alphabet, the British phonetic alphabet has 24 consonants.
