What types of men's shirt collars are there?

Category 1: standard collar

Standard collar: a collar whose length and opening angle are not "extreme", which is generally called "standard collar". Because the popularity of shirt collars in each era has its own characteristics, naturally, the "standard" of standard collars has also changed. Shirts with standard collars are the most common styles in formal shirts, so they are also the easiest to match, and they are not picky about the pattern of ties.

Category 2: Collars of different colors

Different color collar: refers to a plain or striped shirt with a white collar, and some cuffs are also made white. Collars are mostly standard collars or open-angle collars. The collar tip has many shapes, usually round. It goes well with the paisley swirl print tie.

Category 3: buttoned collar

Dark collar: shirt collar, buttons are sewn at the tips of the left and right collars, the tie passes through the buttons, and the collar is fastened. For similar shirts with different collars, the bow tie should be smaller to make the collar look suitable.

Category 4: Open-angle collars

Open-angle collar: a collar with an angle between 120 degrees and 180 degrees. This kind of collar is also called "Windsor collar". It is said that the Duke of Windsor (King Edward VIII of England) likes this kind of collar very much. The matching tie bow tie is called "Windsor bow tie", which is relatively wide. As the name implies, it was also initiated by the Duke of Windsor. However, in recent years, open-necked shirts have become popular to match the slightly smaller half Windsor bow tie.

Category 5: Button collar

Button collar: a shirt collar with a button to fix the tip on the body, a typical American shirt. Originally, it was a sports shirt, but now it is used as a dress shirt. It is better to use a thin knot with only one lap for a tie.

Category 6: long pointed collar

Long pointed collar: Compared with the standard collar shirt, the collar tip is longer, and it is mostly used as a classical style dress shirt. It is usually white or plain, and some lines are simple. There are a wide range of long pointed collar shirts and ties, and slightly gorgeous printed ties and classical striped ties are suitable.

Pointed collar This is the most common collar type, and its balance creates a confident and mature appearance. Formal and casual are very comfortable, and you can wear a suit at will.

Wide collar is suitable for business occasions and dress, giving people a sense of elegance.

The down button collar is more suitable for leisure environment, and the design of the collar button allows you not to wear a tie.
