Why is traditional culture the root of a nation?

Traditional Chinese culture

was developed in harmony with ancient Chinese society. It is just like the soil on one side nurtures the plants on the other side, and when the place changes, there is bound to be maladaptation.

When Chinese society began, the so-called "scholar" had no status.

But the scholar had a wealth of humanistic knowledge, and knowledge was power. So the scholar penetrated the ruling class.

Then came the imperial examinations, which brought in people with knowledge, and a link emerged between the scholar and the official. It can be said that the essence of traditional Chinese culture is in the hands of the ruling class.

The whole population wanted to ascend to heaven in one step, so the whole population was the soil of culture.

Broadly speaking, traditional Chinese culture is a worldview.

The earliest of these was a broad worldview, full of openness and vigor, which played an important role in China's unification.

But after the unification, it slowly became a "country-oriented" worldview. It became more and more closed and conservative. Until you see a foreign culture. Until they were beaten and cried. Until it finally brought down China.

The worldview changed, and so did the social structure

.

Beginning with the New Culture Movement

at the beginning of the 20th century, and continuing through the Cultural Revolution

, and on to reform and opening up. Countless pioneers spent countless hours knocking down and abandoning traditional culture, many of whom were themselves the elite of Chinese culture

, and agonized as if they had killed their loved ones.

The original social structure is gone, and the relationship between traditional culture and social reality has been completely severed, except for some cultural remnants left in textbooks and folklore, no one can live "like the classics".

Modern people, who are rich and powerful in modern culture and are not bullied, do not understand the choices and pain of their predecessors and want to go back. It's really weird.

But as we said, Chinese culture is related to the social structure and is a product of society. As long as society can't go back, Chinese culture won't start over. Without soil, culture is all memories and no innovation, and then that culture is nothing more than a zombie culture - even if it can still twitch a few times.

I don't know which one of the "Plenum", as the political elite can't be unaware of the past history and lessons learned, and don't see any measures, then this sentence is just empty words.
