Definition of Nouns in the New Edition of Politics: Political Culture
Political culture is a subjective value category and a pattern of people's political value orientation towards political life, including political psychological factors such as political cognition, emotion, attitude and values. Political ideology, such as political ideals, beliefs, theories and evaluation criteria, is its manifestation, and there is an interactive and balanced relationship between it and the material political system.
Political culture originated from Plato and Aristotle. But it appeared as a concept at the end of 18. At that time, J. Holder, a German literary theorist and director of wild movement theory, first used the term "political culture". Lenin also used the concept of "political culture" in 1920. As an accurate concept of modern politics, political culture began in 1950s. There are different opinions on the concept of political culture: some people want to limit it to the subjective orientation of the political system, while others regard public political behavior as a part of political culture.
