Introduction to the Anatolian language group
The Anatolian language group was historically distributed throughout Asia Minor (the Anadolu region of present-day Turkey), and consisted mainly of the Hittite language, which was written in cuneiform script in northwestern Anadolu, and the Luvian language in southwestern Anadolu. This group of languages was once widely used in Asia Minor, and the only surviving documents are a few inscriptions.
